finally forgiven

Postby breakingfree » Fri Dec 11, 2009 8:35 pm

well today i completed step 4 about forgiveness. it really penetrated into my soul. i never thought about God forgiving me based on my forgiveness of others and myself. for the first time, i realize that i have always felt guilty because i doubted that God could forgive me. sure, it was easy to ask forgiveness for a sin i did not intentially do, but what about all the sins i did knowing that it was wrong? i felt like my guilt justified me for doing wrong. but after today, i have a whole new outlook. i have some work to do with forgiving myself and others completely and i can already feel by burden of guilt being lifted. thanks for all you out there who have been praying for me! and please keep praying!

ahh, sis.....this is what Grace is all about. We dont earn it and no amount of guilt we carry or work we do can attain it and we dont deserve it...it IS His free gift to us cuz He knows how we are. Letting go of the guilt and unforgiveness for things He has already forgiven us for us is so freeing and life giving. Forgiving others is as well. There isnt a day that goes by that I dont have to ask Him to forgive me for something...and thats on a really good day *laughter* , but seriously...He is faithful to forgive when you go to Him with a heart of repentence. He remembers it no more....He says...What sin? His grace truly is sufficient, sis. That is the whole purpose for Jesus dying on the cross for us.

Keep going....this is so awesome to watch!

love you

in Jesus,
love momo *Halo*

You are on the path to understanding ...

Forgiveness of others as well as our own sins, once we truly repent, is essential as it is the FOUNDATION of Grace.

If HE forgave ... Who are we not to?

Keep on keeping on ...

Luv ya

breaking free, so many times we struggle with forgiving ourselves...we try to blame ourselves for not doing better or knowing better....but this is not what God would have us to do. God wants us to follow Him, and once we repent He wants us to accept His grace and place aside in guilt.

You have some work to do on this step as you stated...but you can do it with God's help...all things are possible with God.

Keep on with the next step sis. Your beginning to heal.

luv ya
Do you know my Jesus? Do you know my friend? Have you heard He loves you? If not, I'd like to introduce you.
