journal day 4
Todays stepping stone took me by surprise because I thought forgiveness was covered yesterday. This one has opened up even more for me because there is a couple of people I would like to be forgiven by from my past. I thought that I had all this covered but as I sit here and think about it the Lord is bringing to mind more people that I have caused pain too. The main one that HE brings to mind are the children that He blessed me with. I've always felt guilty for what I put them through and now it is time to change that. I will see them this weekend and With the Lords help I am going to talk with them and ask for their forgiveness and also tell them how sorry I am for what I put them through. I love them so much and I am very blessed to have them. (even though my daughter is now a teenager ). Yesterday I said I was going to banish the thoughts that come in head about God not forgiving me and I did. This is what I did. "in Jesus name I banish all thoughts that I am not forgiven". After I did that I felt like a big load was lifted from me. Praise the Lord

Bluebird, how wonderful that you were able to banish all thoughts that you aren't forgiven. You are forgiven and Jesus loves you enough that He died for you, so that you could be forgiven. Amazing huh?
I'm glad you are going to reach out to your children. This is wonderful, and it's an opportunity to make all the past right again before the eyes of the Lord. Even if the children don't want to forgive, at least you have asked, and that's all God asks of you.
Keep with the steps bluebird.
luv ya

Do you know my Jesus? Do you know my friend? Have you heard He loves you? If not, I'd like to introduce you.

His mercy is amazing, yes? Once we realize its not because of who we are, but Who He is..and how much He loves us...wow! It is freeing. Keep going, blue. He has so much more to show you!

Hi, brother Blue Bird . . . good to see you, again. Thanks for sharing this with us. I think it is good to point out to children however we are wrong so they can have a chance to learn right from wrong, and not be assuming what we do is right or to be expected. We can be an example of honesty so they can learn to admit how they are wrong and how to deal with it > "nor as being lords over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock." (1 Peter 5:3) "Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much." (James 5:16)
Now I believe that if someone forgives me for something, this does not mean the person must trust me. I now understand that we should test if and how to trust each person > praying and seeing how God has us seeing people and being led if and how to trust each one (Philippians 1:9). So, "therefore", I need to even encourage others to test if they should trust me > especially it would be good to be able to pray and make sure with God > this can make people better able to communicate personally with God, if they can do this; so I would want this for people, instead of them blindly trusting me and assuming about me just because I am nice to them.
And I notice how one needs to be tested before being trusted that "he take care of the church of God" > 1 Timothy 3:1-10. Even just to be *considered* for ordination, ones need to be "tested" "first". So, if ones worthy for consideration as pastors need to be tested, even though they have been forgiven and they are our examples, then surely we all should be humble and honest to not be expecting and demanding and requiring anyone to trust us unless they are satisfied by God in prayer, even, to trust us.
And with God we find out better how to trust each person . . . being able to discern how God has called each one to be trusted.
But please may you have a good time with your children and her if she is there, too. I think they will be able to see how you are different. And God works with how you are in His sight. You will see. God bless you, Blue Bird.
