Sis you say you want to accept God's love but something is stopping you. I don't think it's doubt so much as it may be fear. Are you afraid of what Jesus can offer you, because His love is unknown? This happens a lot when people step out into something they have never experienced before.

It says that i should have remembered things that I read in earlier steps, that things written in this step should have jogged my memory about them, but it didn't, i dont seem to be able to retain anything that ive read.

it seems now that i just want the steps to be over, rather then to gain anything from them i dont think my week at summer camp could be comnig at a better time, it'll give me a better chance to think things over properly.

i fall so often i feel like i should just stay on the ground to make the falls less painfull, but i know somewhere inside that thats not me and that ive always been a fighter, my grandad calls me a 'tuff un' cos he knows i just get on with things even if i dont wanna.

Did i ever tell you about my sister? About the ways she comes and corners me and makes me feel like sqaut, the ways she uses me to get what she wants and the minute i dont comply with her the minute she shouts and says everything is my fault, makes my parents think that im the one in the wrong so she can revel in seeing me suffer at her hands, so she can see how and that she has the ability to control people, that she parades around the house thinking she's the most important one, its better for everyone in the house if i pretend not to exist to avoid any arguements because if she comes to me now and tries to abuse me i shout at her in the hope that someone will hear me and stick up for me, ive tried staying quiet, ive tried been kind but nothing ever works

Tigerlily, if the steps are feeling a bit burdensome, take your time at camp and come back to them. It may be that you have some things to work on before you move forward.

As for your sister, you may not can change her actions sis, but you can change how her actions effect you, and how you react. Forgive her and love her.

Don't leave the steps sis. Just go back and make the charts. Start small and add items as you go along. It doesn't have to be a big thing. Just a few things on the charts will get you started.
Keep with it sis. Jesus loves you :)

the steps arent the ones that need to be productive... WE are.

Its about our willingness to do what it takes bring about change and to find God's will in our lives. Other people cannot do this for us. God wont do this for us. It has to be by choice.

Its really as simple as that.

Luv ya lils *hug*

I still feel that i need to do something when i pray, thats there s something that i have to do before i start i praying, to make myself feel the presence of God, but is that not what a christian is about? Faith? which is taking that step to trust that God is there, to trust in something that you can't see, feel, touch? is that how prayer works? if it is how to do take that step? or do you just have to jump and go for it? I read that one thing that stops you from praying or that stops God from answering your prayers is inconfessed sin, so if i confess and ask for forgiveness, do i have to trust that im forgiven straight away or do i have to keep on confessing and asking for forgiveness until something clicks and i feel forgiven in my heart? If i dont know what i know about jesus do i just keep praying until i do know, based on faith? im confused

tigerlily when you pray, make sure you pray with a sincere heart and once you ask God to forgive you then He will do so. He immediately lets your sins go after that and you won't have to ask for forgiveness in that particular sin again. But we being sinful flesh, will hit more bumps along the way that requires us to repent for our new sins.

When you pray, believe that God hears your prayers sis. That's all He asks.
