My confession today:

Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
Isaiah 55:8
For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.

That's an excellent one Mercy, shows God is thinking of our future.

So good to see you here.

Fear used to plague me. Fears about being hurt or worse were common in my mind. But when I found Psalm 91, fear began to lose it's hold on me, and my emotions.

My confession today, and the rest of my life will be:

"No evil will befall me, no calamity will come near my dwelling...for you give your angels charge over me, and they keep me in all my ways. In my pathway is life and healing and health."
Psalm 91:10,10-11
Proverbs 12:28

I like that one tam :)

Much of my confessio deals with healing and health, two things I desire to see manifest in my body. I KNOW I was healed, 1st Peter 2:24 says so. In the spiritual realm, I am healthy and whole. (Nothing missing, nothing broken.)

Now, I want the facts to line up with God's truth. (Hebrews 11:1) I hope for, look for and expect to be healthy.

The first thing I had to do was commit my body to God. Here is my confession :

"I present my body to God, for it is the Temple of the Living God. God dwells in me, and His Life fills my spirit, my soul, and my body, so that I am filled with the fullness of God daily."
Romans 12:1-2

This just says it all for me.....

Here is my confession today

The Lord God is my strength, my personal bravery, and my invincible army; He makes my feet like hinds feet and will make me to walk (not to stand still in terror, but to walk) and make (spiritual) progress upon my high Places (of trouble, suffering, or responsibility)!

Another day, I was blessed in something like this >

Jesus says, "Forgive, and you will be forgiven." (in Matthew 6:37)

As I forgive, I am forgiven.
While I am being pleasing to God, God is so pleasing to me.

. . . "rather let it be the hidden person of the heart,
with the incorruptible beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit,
. . . . . . which is very precious in the sight of God."
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . (1 Peter 3:4)

So, while I am being pleasing to God, in the beauty of His love's "gentle and quiet spirit",
in His pure and pleasant peace ruling in me (Colossians 3:15),
I enjoy how You are so beautifully wonderful in love,
and so pleasing to me . . . more than any thing or person in this world can be >

. . ."For wisdom is better than rubies,
. . ..And all the things one may desire cannot be compared with her."
. . . . . . . . . . .. . . . . . . . . . . (Proverbs 8:11)

This, ones understand, was written by King Solomon who had so much of all there can be of riches and women.

I have experienced that two or three minutes with a lady of Jesus can do more for me than a billion universes of gold and silver could and more than what all the women of this world could do for me for all the rest of eternity while they were cooperating with whatsoever I might want.

Five minutes . . . in the Holy Spirit with a lady of Jesus . . . does me more good (o:

That's a great one, Tam... especially when you are trying to get some control over wayward emotions. Unhealthy emotions start with unhealthy thoughts. The best way to change your feelings is to change your thought life.

When I found that scripture it set me to thinking about what was on Jesus mind. I decided, the main things He thought about were: 1. His Father, and 2. other people....in that order. Faithfulness, love and compassion were the results. Zeal for expressing God to all, and for teaching others to do the same were the actions He took. And through it all, He was comfortable, and found it necessary, to constantly talk with his Father.

I decided I needed to focus on those things. From then on, I practiced talking with God throughout my day, and focusing on the needs of the people around me. It took the focus off the 'huge' problems I thought I had, and made them seem not so difficult.

I especially like the Amplified version of this scripture:

1 Corinthians 2:16"For who has known or understood the mind (the counsels and purposes) of the Lord so as to guide and instruct Him and give Him knowledge? But we have the mind of Christ (the Messiah) and do hold the thoughts (feelings and purposes) of His heart."

So today I'm joining in Tam's last confession, and saying:

"I have the mind of Christ, and hold the thoughts, feelings and purposes of His heart."

And today, I meditate again on just what His thoughts, feelings and purposes are.

Have a blessed day.

1 John 5:4-5

for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world even our faith. 5 Who is it that overcomes the world? Only he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God.

I am an over-comer through faith in Jesus, the Son of God.
I AM AN OVER-COMER
I can overcome
I will overcome

My confession has been delayed today by storms. I love storms. I used to be somewhat frightened by them, but not anymore.

I found God in storms.

I love David's description of God in the storms:

Psalm 27:
1 Ascribe to the LORD, O mighty ones,
ascribe to the LORD glory and strength.

2 Ascribe to the LORD the glory due his name;
worship the LORD in the splendor of his holiness.

3 The voice of the LORD is over the waters;
the God of glory thunders,
the LORD thunders over the mighty waters.

4 The voice of the LORD is powerful;
the voice of the LORD is majestic.

5 The voice of the LORD breaks the cedars;
the LORD breaks in pieces the cedars of Lebanon.

6 He makes Lebanon skip like a calf,
Sirion like a young wild ox.

7 The voice of the LORD strikes
with flashes of lightning.

8 The voice of the LORD shakes the desert;
the LORD shakes the Desert of Kadesh.

9 The voice of the LORD twists the oaks
and strips the forests bare.
And in his temple all cry, "Glory!"

10 The LORD sits enthroned over the flood;
the LORD is enthroned as King forever.

11 The LORD gives strength to his people;
the LORD blesses his people with peace.

As Jesus exampled, God is God over any storm. No storm, physical, spiritual, or mental, is bigger than God.

And it is God and God alone who brings peace to any storm situation.

So, in the storms I began to cry: "Glory! You are the King, God. You bless me with strength and peace, for I am Yours."

And that's my confession today.
"My future's so bright, I gotta wear shades." (Timbuk 3)
