Forgiveness... Stepping Stone #4

Postby hburns088 » Sun Aug 02, 2009 11:52 pm

Ok so can I just start by saying God blows me away and leaves me speechless! I have been having a rough time with friendships and other things lately and in my "frustration" post so many people have told me that I need to forgive and move on. Honestly I thought that I didn't have to because I was the one that was hurt, and the other person should apologize.

Well, in truth I found out tonight that I haven't forgiven people in my past, and how will I ever have a future if I have the chain of unforgiveness in my present? I have felt like I'm against a wall and not moving forward, tonight God showed me that I am doing exactly that. I have chosen to stay in this unforgiveness and not live in the freedom of God's will. I can see this invisible net taking me down, and I chose it.

So Now - I have decided to forgive and forget and walk in freedom, I have decided to stop hitting my head against the wall and move forward instead of backwards. I have decided to Let Go and Let God.

I understand now why whoever wrote the steps says to take one day at a time, and not rush it because God knew I needed step 4 tonight, and not sooner or later. I am seeing results and its helping me press on. Thank you God for your unfailing mercy and grace.

Praise God!! You are now beginning to see your life as God has seen it all along. God wants you to forgive and move forward, as He does us through His son....Jesus. Now that you have decided to make the step to forgive those who have hurt you, you can begin to live free of the burdens of the past. God is so proud of you :)

Keep working at the steps. Your doing great.

luv ya

hburns, it is amazing ins't it. the truth sometimes is so hard to accept it is almost like we are in denial. forgiveness has had some of the deepest roots, and runners for me so far. You've asked God to help you with this deep root, and before you had time to pull he has already ripped it out. to him, it never existed now.
