I wish we lived closer so I could visit. Maybe Brian and I will travel out that way sometime and can stop by. :)

God bless you, Pamela! May He protect you and give you peace.

Hi Pamela *hug*

Isnt He amazing? Im so awed over how He has brought so many Christians to be around you...to be there by your side every step of the way. I know that I speak for everyone here when i say that i wish we could be there with you too, but know that you are being covered in prayer, sis. Jesus is with you all the way. I pray that He would heal you completely. My aunt was also a cancer survivor. She had a mastectomy as well, but died a very old and happy woman...and not from the cancer. His will be done, sis. You are in every prayer. He never ceases to amaze me..and the way you are handling this is an inspiration. i love you, sister.

in Jesus,
momo *Pray*

Yesterday was a good day, although I was a little restless, bored and lonely.

Two RNs from St. Martin's Hospice came over and evaluated me. (They know everything about me except my shoe size!)

Both RNs are Christians! Praise God!

I'll soon be getting: a wheelchair, a walker with a seat, a bench for my shower, a portable, discreet oxygen tank, and other things. They tried to talk me into getting diapers, but I emphatically said NO to that.

Wednesday night Bible Study at church was superb! Pastor Sammy taught on John 14:1-4---the first verses I memorized as a new Christian way back in 1972! Excellent teaching! My friend Evalee sat with me through the service. We also observed Communion, which was effused with God's holiness and awe.

Today I see my doctor in Riverside, and deliver the news about the cancer to her. I wonder what her reaction will be?

Thank you, everyone---for your prayers and posts.

Today was a good and enjoyable day.

A Christian friend came over. She had made a homemade Shepherd's Pie and brought it over for our lunch. It was delicious! I'd never had Shepherd's Pie before.

Then, she cut my hair, and it looks very nice. I have naturally dark brunette hair, wavy and curly, with some silver, and blue eyes. I look five years younger, which is always good.

My friend then read John 14 to me, and it was wonderful! I closed my eyes, and it was just like being there in Israel while Jesus spoke.

Following the Scripture reading, my friend took my Ford Ranger to the carwash. (Dusty vehicles at the apartment complex are assumed to be abandoned, and towed away at the owner's expense.) Such a wonderful blessing---she also drove my Ranger on the nearby freeway, charging the battery.

My friend scooped Flossie and Reiko's litter box, and then went home.

Another friend came over briefly to let me know she would be leaving for the weekend.

I'm tired, so will go now.

Love and hugs from your sister in Christ----------

PAMELA

Hello, everyone---thank you for your heartfelt prayers and posts.

Soon, I am giving my two kitties, "Flossie" and "Reiko" (Rayko) to friends. They are beautiful girls. Flossie is very curious and mischievious. When Flossie Darling gets into some mischief, her name becomes "Flossie Monster."

Reiko is very elegant and sophisticated with her long fur and large, luminous golden eyes. I call Reiko---"Reiko Gekko."

I will especially miss Flossie Darling.

Once I begin chemo, I cannot be anywhere near a cat litter box, due to risk of infection. So the girls gotta go.

I will ask my oncologist when I see him for the first time Tuesday if I can keep my dog, Jack Jasper Judge. Jack is half Aussie Shepherd, half Irish Setter. The big goofy mutt just loves to lay sleeping at my feet all day. He's my special lad.

Today a friend and I are going to the Sizzler restaurant for their all-you-can-eat salad bar. It will be an enjoyable time.

I feel sad today at the prospect of having to get rid of Flossie and Reiko.

I have an enormous answer to prayer and praise report!!!

Twice I have written to the OWNER of the Apartments where I live for air conditioning in my bedroom. The a/c in the front area does not cool way into my bedroom.

One hot night last summer, I literally had to get up 4 times and take a cold shower.

The owner's written response was that if they got an a/c for me, they'd have to get one for everyone, and their budget did not allow for this.

One final time, I wrote a 1-page letter to the owner, stating I'd been recently diagnosed with breast cancer, would they reduce my rent so I could save up for an a/c.

The Manager just called me. The owner is buying me an a/c, it has been ordered and it will be installed for me very soon!

Thank You, Lord Jesus!

Praise God on this 99-degree Spring day!

PS----I can keep my kitties Flossie and Reiko since I have friends that are taking care of their litter box for me!

Your sister in Christ,

PAMELA

At my oncology appointment today, my friend/neighbor that drove me and I sat in the waiting room with two other Christians!

This is what is known about my cancer at this time:

The cancer ER status is Triple Positive, which is good because it allows more treatment options.

The tumor size is 7 centimeters.

The HER2 is not known---awaiting results from Vanderbilt University.

I will lose my hair---have already ordered a hat and turbans from the American Cancer Society.

I have a heart arrhythmia, and the oncologist wants me to have an echocardiogram to make sure my heart is strong enough for chemo.

Today, I was started on Femara, and my oncologist feels that Herceptin will be amongst my chemo regimen of choice. Someone will pick up my prescription at the pharmacy today.

Chest CT scan shows: COPD.

Thank you all for your prayers!
