Master and Slave

Postby susidivah » Fri Aug 31, 2007 10:14 pm

I willingly admit that I am weak in my natural self. I used to offer the parts of my body in slavery to impurity and to ever-increasing wickedness. I now offer them in slavery to righteousness leading to holiness. (Romans 6:19)

With Sin and Our Lord, it is impossible to be neutral nor to serve two masters. Slavery within the adversary's court leads to nothing but dirt and filth that fester the guilt and shame of sin. However, when we become slaves to His Will, Word and Spirit, we are washed clean. It may seem much harder than the alternative master, but through obedience, dedication, and trust we can restore our lives for eternity.

This verse just always hits me when I come upon it, and He has been speaking to me of it much the past week... just wanted to share *saint*

Susi, Good point. I would like to add something. In the Book Of Romans, Paul stated in chapter 6 that we are to die to sin and not let it have its way in us. Then, in chapter7 he states how sometimes he struggles with his fleshly desires and does thinks that his Spiritual nature does not want him to do. In conclusion, chapter 8 states how we are to walk and live by the Spirit. So my friend, Paul was also human and I admire his humbleness. Thanks for sharing this with us . Luv ya.
