Renewal of the Spirit ? That's a 1st !

I dont know, may be its God doesn't want this to be posted , a glitch or what , but the bottom line of the post is confusion on my part ( once again of course)

I mean ,reading Psalm 51 at step 5 in Spirit of Truth , threw me off balance altogether. I'm sure Ive read before , many times in all diff. versions of the Bible and in all three languages , wether Armenian , Arabic or English , that verse just simply eluded me.

Psalms 51:10-12
Create in me a clean heart, O God; and RENEW a right Spirit within me.

Renew a Spirit , Whose ? Why does God's Spirit need to be renewed ?

First thing jumped to mind is when "that dog" is saying " now Paul I know , Jesus I know , but who are you ?"
Second , I always got a laugh from those product ads when they go " This is the best that ever was" next thing you know they're going "New & Improved " I mean "If it works why fix it " right ? or is it "if it aint broke, fix it 'till it is?"

renew your mind, ok - be reborn, ok- dont look back, ok - I dont have the power to do all that , dont worry I give you Mine , ok - does it work ? PERFECT, well renew all that .... HuH? , I dont get it !

Marhaba vahn, Bet you didn't know but a know a bit of Arabic ;) There's a story behind that :)

Anyway, what this mean is it's renewing God's Spirit in you vahn. See our bodies are filled with all sorts of spirit's at times...from spirit's of confusion, spirit's of anger etc. When this verse is saying is to clean out those bad spirit's and renew YOU with a new Spirit...His.

Hope that makes sense now.

After a bit of meditation on that it did come to me , as you said it is Not saying renew the New Spirit, ... yeah - yeah - yeah - I laughed too !!
