i've posted on my profile page that one of my goals for 2009 is to commit to memory 1 Peter 1 ...

i would like to be held accountable for that.

so far i've learned verses 1 and 2 ( i think );

there are 25 verses and if i learn 2 per month that should take me through the year.

i thought u had such a good idea about this made me go look in my bible and see shat God wanted me to memorize!

okee-dokee, this is what i got so far .... *raises two fingers up like a good girl scout .... "scouts honour" ... i've not looked at my verses since this morning ... and i am not looking at them now ... this is totally from memory...

Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, writing to the elect exiles of the dispersion scattered abroad in Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, Bithynia,

(i think i missed a phrase there in the first verse)

who were chosen and foreknown by God the Father and sanctified by the Holy Spirit to be obedient to Jesus Christ and sprinkled by blood: ummmmm
ummmmmm -- oh yes ...
may spiritual blessing and peace be yours in increasing abundance ....

ok i got the first verse memorized and im not looking, (By the way God is teaching me a valueble lesson from this verse as we speak) :oops:

Be imitators of God therefore as dearly loved children.

Working on the second verse!

Hope I dont have to learn a lesson from that one too.
