We know that that God has placed different spiritual gifts and talents within all of us, so that we can use it to further His kingdom and bring Him glory.


1 Cor 12: 4-11 Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues: But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.


Here is a list of some of the spiritual gifts that the Holy Spirit bestows upon us:

Perhaps you have a talent, such as singing, or playing music, or writing, or drawing...

All these are gifts from God, given to us to serve Him and the Body of Christ.

Lizzie wow to name all the gifts the Holy Spirit has given me wow, that would be like a huge list. But I would say one of my biggest gifts would have to be compassion. I have some fairly new gifts also, but I know that as time goes along, and the more God uses me the more gifts He is going to pass to me to be able to use.

Discernment:

Literal Meaning: To separate; to differentiate; to make a distinction.

The gift of discernment is the special ability that God gives to certain members of the body of Christ to distinguish between truth and error, and to know with assurance whether certain behavior purported to be of God is in reality divine, human, or satanic.

People with this gift:
distinguish truth from error, right from wrong, pure motives from impure;
identify deception in others with accuracy and appropriateness;
determine whether a testimony attributed to God is authentic;
recognize inconsistencies in a teaching, prophetic message or interpretation;
are able to sense the presence of evil.

A person with this gift is usually:
Perceptive
Insightful
Sensitive
Challenging
Decisive
Intuitive
Truthful
Discriminating


Helps:

Literal Meaning: To take the place of someone.

The gift of helps is the special ability that God gives to certain members of the body of Christ to invest the talents they have in the life and ministry of other members of the body, thus enabling them to increase the effectiveness of their own spiritual gifts.

People with this gift:
serve behind the scenes wherever needed to support the gifts and ministries of others;
look for opportunities to assist people in their work;
enjoy knowing that they are freeing up others to do what God has called them to do;
are more willing to take orders than give orders;
like to attend to the needs of others.

A person with this gift is usually:
Available
Willing
Helpful
Reliable
Dependable
Loyal
Humble
Supportive

ljd one major gift you have, is the gift of understanding, and the ability to relate to what a person feels, and to offer to them a Spirit of Truth without offending. You are such a precious soul, and combining that with your abiltity to listen, and your gift to understand....you are a powerful vessel for the Lord.

You know something, I think one way you can find out what your spiritual gifts are, is to look at what you are passionate about and what you enjoy doing.

However, the Holy Spirit does give us gifts when they are needed for a particular job, so even tho one may not think they have that gift now, or havent had it in the past, it doesnt mean that they can or will not have it in the future. Depends on the plans God has for us

And yeah, sometimes its hard to recognize a particular gift, until someone points it out to us

Whatever our gifts or talents are, they were given to us to serve Him and the Body of Christ with
