But how does God feel?
I like to talk with God from the moment I wake up. I started this habit right after I met Jesus, and I reminded myself by posting a sticky note on my bedside lamp, where I would see it first thing. The note said,
Proverbs 8:17
"I love those who love Me, And those who seek Me diligently will find Me".
I would say, :'God, I love You, and today I am diligently seeking You, I will find You.'...........months passed, and soon, I automatically saw that little note in my 'mind's eye', as soon as I would awaken.
It became my habit to talk to God about my day as I did the usual morning things. Years have passed, and the little note faded from my mind, but the habit of talking with God never did. The note wasn't needed by me anymore.
Then, the other morning, as I woke up, I thought of that little note, and the scripture that had been on it.....it made me smile. I said, "Lord, I expect to see you today, in all the people around me, and in the experiences of today."
The day was eventful, it was my daughter's birthday, and we took her out for lunch. We got the primo parking space, had an excellent server at our table, my daughter got free dessert and balloons. We had wonderful fellowship, 4 generations of us.
I was thinking, I see God all around us, His favor and love. On a whim, my daughter asked if we could stop at the mall, they were having a huge sale on children's clothing, and granddaughter needed summer things.
As we got out of her van, a man walking up the parking lot with his wife said...."Do you ladies know Jesus loves you today?"
Just when I thought I had seen God all morning....there He was, shining out of a total stranger, loving us. I wanted to cry with joy.
Later, as I talked to Him on my bed that night, I thanked Him for all the blessings, but especially the spoken words of love. He asked me, "Do you know why I did that? Because you expected me too."
I thought back to my words that morning, and felt like crying again. This is what I thought.....
Psalm 62:5
My soul, wait silently for God alone,For my expectation is from Him.
How much does God wait expectantly to hear from us? Does His heart leap with joy when we acknowledge Him during our day? Last night, when Mack was talking about hope in Holy Spirit sharing, I thought of this experience, and all the emotion it brought me.
God hopes in us, too. He loves and desires us, too. He seeks our time, too. He expects, too. He needs our little notes! I have gone back to my little note in the mornings....but this time it says.....
Psalm 5:3
My voice You shall hear in the morning, O LORD;In the morning I will direct it to You, And I will look up.
Dear Lord, may we always be looking and seeking for You continually....for You have said...."And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.".....(Jeremiah 29:13). Our hearts search for You expectantly Lord, and we will find You. In Jesus name, Amen.

Hello Kimberly,
God bless you, dear sister Kimberly.
You write so lovingly of our Lord, it feels good to read what He puts on your heart. Thank you.
The Holy Spirit also led me to read Proverbs 8:17 within the last couple days:
"I love those who love Me, And those who seek Me diligently will find Me".
It brings tears to my eyes. I love all the colors of His love.
Love you, Kimberly
