I try to do good things and live right but temptation is a very hard thing for me and i cant seem to stop doing things i know i shouldnt, i need help. i know i need help which some people say is the first step but i dont know. I just feel so lost and i need to find Jesus again and stop giving in to bad things! Any suggestions? and yes, i do pray.

Hi Kess,
God does not expect you to change everything at once, and if we try to do that, it sets us up to fall into temptation. Zoo is right, asking God for help, addmitting you can't do it in your power brings God on the scene. Also, pick one thing a day that you will work on, (just an example), 'I will do my best not to curse today'- then help yourself by finding a bible verse that fits the challenge and helps you closer to victory. Believe it or not- this works. It is called renewing your mind to the word of God, which is very important to overcoming temptation. God says in Isaiah, He 'hastens to His word to perform it'- meaning when He hears you speak His word, He DOES what the word says. So if everytime I am tempted to curse, I say, "Let the words of my mouth, and meditations of my heart- be acceptable in your sight Lord" (Ps 19:14) - He then begins to help you chaqnge the way you think and speak. Even if I lose it and curse, I can still say it afterwards (after repenting :D) I use this example only because I had such a mouth problem, but the principle works for ANY problem. It is the Word of God that overcomes and delivers us.
So glad you are here, and remember, you aren't alone. We all go through temptations on a daily basis. It's great that you are seeking a solution. We are here to help. See ya soon. God bless, Kim
