Stepping Stone 6

I've noticed that following certain things, like God's word, is difficult but it is DEFINITELY worth your time. Like, the harder something is, the greater the satisfaction of completing it. But not everything has a defined ending, and just keeping on doing it is what you need to focused on, and THAT is the difficult part - continuation. Making the time to sit down and CONTINUE something can be the greatest challenge a person can have, but continually making the time can also end up being the greatest reward.

Amen Taryn....the greatest rewards are reserved for those who give their best....many take the easy way....because it is just that...easy....but the road less travelled is the hard way....it may be overgrown and slow to travel....but if one is determined and perseveres....the reward will be great at the end.

One more step and you are half way through the steps. Keep walking...

Stepping Stone 7

One should always ask themselves, "Is what I'm seeing/hearing/reading going to bring me closer to God?"
If it's not, why are you paying attention to it?

And I smile....the focus of life should be glorifying God....sometimes our focus can stray as the world has so much to try and distract us....but if we will keep our eyes on God we will be so much better.

Taryn, you've made it halfway through the stepping stones. This is awesome. I pray you are beginning to feel better. May God continue to bless you on this journey.

Take life one step at a time.... Don't rush through the steps... Remember to stop and smell the roses... Anything worthwhile takes time... Praise the Lord!

I think a new habit I can start to learn is to pray and praise every day.

My hunch from yesterday was right.... As long as I do it with sincerity, it doesn't matter HOW I pray.

I've been feeling like I need to take a break from everyday life today.... Like I need to spend a few days away from people to go and enjoy nature. But spending some time to get to know the Holy Spirit seems like it would be more beneficial. There's no such thing as getting too close to God, right?

It's great to see you continuing to move along the pathway to healing.

It is ok to take a step away from life and to go to a peaceful place to spend time with God. We all need time with God. God enjoys time with us as well. He wants to share thoughts with you and He wants to be the focus of your attention.

Stepping Stone 12

Turn towards Jesus when you fall down and you shall receive a helping hand, providing you the strength to keep going. He will always be by your side. I find it so comforting to know that I will always have someone encouraging me and giving me strength to follow the path of Truth.
