Be comforted in Him
Be comforted because He knows.
All who need God's help in life please prayerfully consider.
Psalm
In the day of my trouble I seek the Lord;
in the night my hand is stretched out without wearying;
my soul refuses to be comforted.
You can REFUSE His comfort but you're only pushing aside the mercy He is providing for you. Don't do it. If you don't believe His word you are refusing His care.
Isaiah 54:11 NASB
"O afflicted one, storm-tossed, and not comforted, Behold, I will set your stones in antimony, And your foundations I will lay in sapphires.
In your distress some of you are not accepting His comfort. No one can do it for you. He is still trying to reach you. DO NOT frustrate His grace. I've done the same thing and it's a big mistake. Very big. Today if you will hear his voice...
Matthew 11:28-30 NASB
"Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you WILL FIND REST FOR YOUR SOULS. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light."
Don't make His ways heavy. They're not. He gives an answer of peace as he gave Pharaoh in Genesis, and an answer of joy, as He tells us in Ecclesiastes. Accept His light yoke just as it is, and don't allow dead religion to make it otherwise!
I see and hear many urgent prayer requests - pleas - everywhere. Every request is a heart's cry for God to step in and do something about a situation, many life threatening. You must believe that He cares and that in time, maybe even instantly, He will move on your behalf. But you must be born again in order to believe. Attending church is not a substitute for salvation. Do you know Him? You know your friends, your wife or husband, your family members but DO YOU KNOW HIM?
As a Christian you will have many many periods, seasons, of waiting. It's not a joyfilled season as we define joy, but must be endured. Jesus Christ was a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief and was, is, our example. Our exact pattern.
Exodus 25:40
And see to it that you make them according to the pattern which was shown you on the mountain.
When we went to the hospital, there we found our fifteen year old daughter who had been killed with the assistance of a drinking driver. I stood beside her and wiped her pretty face with a cloth as she laid there still on a gurney, and I said "the Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away, blessed be the name of the Lord". It was a blow with no instant fix. After waiting for children for fourteen years it was beyond crushing. (Indeed there was, is no fix, only enduring hardness as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.)
I do not relate to you this for any desire of pity or some other prideful thing, but to exhort you to seek God and really believe what He has had His prophets write down. I thought God had become my enemy, but He forgave me. He knew how I felt, that I was devastated. You must, if you are to survive this evil world, believe He REALLY knows you. It is not optional. He really does love you even if times are hard. Very hard. He will forgive if you ask. You must ask. Even if, especially if, your heart, even your body has been crushed. He KNOWS EXACTLY HOW YOU FEEL. EXACTLY.
When I had only been saved a short while, a few months maybe, I was out praying one night in a small greenhouse. As I wept and cried out to God with all of my heart and soul for deliverance in spiritual things, I realized something. That for some time I'd been slowly nodding my head up and down in a "yes" manner and saying over and over "you felt these same things, you felt these same things"! He let me know that He knew EXACTLY how I felt. He knows exactly how YOU feel! Yes, you!
I hope, pray, that my experiences, the grief and hardships endured by my wife, family and I can in some way, somehow benefit you. We can learn from others. I believe in His love despite the horrible blows that this world has dealt to us . If being the weakest most miserable, least of all Christian such as I can hold on to Him so can you. He will strengthen you. Christians are to be the most resilient people on earth. Remember always,
John 16:33 NASB
These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world."
Be of good cheer, He knows, HE KNOWS. Do not believe your feelings, believe His words. I exhort you in the good shepherd's love. It is never ending.

Re: Be comforted in Him
John 16:33. I do believe this is my favorite verse in the Bible. Your post is very encouraging.
Take care
