Dana's journal

Postby Danacovertiscool » Mon Jan 12, 2015 9:45 pm

hello, friends. I do want to let my ex friend(Michael) grieve over the ending of our friendship. I'm 32, and he's 36 years old. We have this friend Ryan who is the middle man. Tomorrow I talk to Ryan on the phone. Should I tell him that's what I plan on doing, or just let it go? I don't want to keep dragging this subject up. It would feel like Michael is not out of my life when he really is. I haven't talked to Michael since sometime in September and I feel good about it. I'm truly done with him. He's out of my life for good. I may or may not be out of his life. He's got to get a grip on reality and realize his mom ended the friendship with me because she can't trust me, and my # has been blocked. I feel good that I am done with him. It's up to him, and him only to get over me, and move on. If he can't, then he needs counseling. I don't. I really started for some reason thinking about this issue this weekend. As of now I'm done. Unless you think I should tell Ryan that I'm letting Michael grieve over the ending of our friendship? If not, I'll be done. Let me know what you think.

Because she can't trust you? What does that mean? Because you encourage her son to be independent? Or for some other reason?

Let your yes be yes and your no be no. If Ryan asks, tell him. If he doesn't, then leave him out of it.
Hugs,

Exactly. Michael can't seem to make up his mind. I'm going to leave Ryan out of it until he tells me that Michael asked about me. I'll just tell him to tell Michael "none of your business" and then he can change the subject. I will however tell Ryan that I'm letting Michael take his time to get over me.

Ryan officially told me Michael asked about me. I told him to tell Michael,"none of your business." And of course I told him I'm letting Michael grieve over me. And that if he gets over it, whatever. If not, whatever. I'm officially done with this.
