What is Saving Faith?
Happy Holidays All!
Blessings!
What is saving faith? Many that believe in Christ Jesus our Lord for the saving of the soul and many that do not believe have the same faith problem. If we haven't believed it is because our lifestyle choices make us feel guilty before God or angry with God because of an ongoing issue with our desires. In both cases, the case with the Christian, and the non Christian, our problem isn't our desires, our problem is with the strength of our belief. There isn't one single reason on earth or in heaven for us to feel guilty before God for any reason despite some habit. The only sin God, the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit will convict us of is unbelief. It doesn't matter if we are surrounded by a thousand Christians condemning us for our habit, if we love and will obey God by continuing to believe in Him despite them. The faith of Abraham testifies to this and so does the faith of our Lord. With Abraham... he believed God for a son despite the fact he was impotent, and despite all thoughts to the contrary to all around our Lord Jesus when he was removed from the cross and laid in his tomb, Jesus believed God would raise him the dead, and God did. For all of us, both Christian and non Christian, saving faith calls things that are not yet, as if they are already. Abraham believed God and it was accounted to him as righteousness. Christ believed God, his and our Father, and despite the fact he died on the cross, he was resurrected from the dead, and made to be the first born of a new species of being. (New Creature). Salvation comes to us by the righteousness of our faith in God despite the fact we have problems, not because all our problems suddenly disappear because we believed. What is saving faith? Saving faith believes in God despite all that is contrary to the perfection that is in God, and saving faith carries that belief without doubting at all to the grave. It is our unbelief that separates us from God, not something we perceive as separating us from God concerning our desires. Let us love God enough to believe in Him despite our problems.
Blessings!

This is so true and what so sad in the body of Christ is there is so much more unbeliefs than believing like Abraham did, and trusted God.saint701 wrote:Happy Holidays All!

I observe this unbelief when it comes to healing, prosperity and casting out demons, raising the dead, and when you talk about these issue with other christians they run to another topic or subject because of their unbelief in the power of Christ trying to work through us and with us by faith by our action we should being doing like Christ did when He was walking this planet and thousands of people have followed Him.
Most people are more concerned about just getting into heaven by good merits and good performances instead of knowing they are saved by Christ alone and thier relationship with Him and knowing they are saved by faith and grace because that same Jesus is in us and we are one with Him in spirit and truth.
We call ourselves believers but maybe the question should be asked are we really believers and really more doubter, and unbelievers specially when it comes to what is in the sopiritual world to manifest in this realms of the carnal world so all can see the Christ in us by the powers and authority working through us.
A good scripture to back this up or to know what Paul taught on this is in these scriptures;
1Co:2:1: And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God.
1Co:2:2: For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.
1Co:2:3: And I was with you in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling.
1Co:2:4: And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power:
1Co:2:5: That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.
1Co:2:6: Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought:
1Co:2:7: But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:
1Co:2:8: Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.
1Co:2:9: But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
1Co:2:10: But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.
God is love
