I am so excited about how it turned out. I ground up my own flour in my hand grain mill. I made this last week. I'm making another one right now, it's almost done baking. I put whole flax seeds in it this time. Can't wait to slather some real butter on it and yummmo!

Wow Shan, that looks really yummy! Your family is so fortunate. Nothing is better, or better for them than homade bread. You ground your own flour? I always wanted to do that....
Happy baking!

Thank you it is by the grace of God I can make this stuff. When I was about 13 I baked no-bake cookies! and really didn't want to bake anything much after that for fear of never doing it right. I have ground my flour a couple times. It is kinda neat doing the work and....I know what's in my flour! I made my first light and fluffy loaf today, it came out really good but I didn't let it rise quite long enough to get a tall loaf so next time have to allow longer rise time. You're posts have inspired me to get back into baking so Thanks for sharing your recipes!

In Christ,

I think God inspires us to pay more attention to what we put in our bodies and feed our families! I love that you have decided to follow His lead. Keep on baking and posting your results, please. I'm interested in your progress. Don't be afraid to experiment.
Thanks for sharing!
Happy baking,
Kimberly
