Help me! I don't know what to do...

Postby Bella#2 » Fri Feb 15, 2013 3:52 pm

Hello everyone!
I thank the LORD that HE directed me to this site. I needed help..advice, my situation right now is very complicated. I met MT online last year. He was lonely, lost and confused. That time he was separated for more than a year but still living with his wife under one roof because of their two children, 15 and 12 years old. He was devastated because his wife was cheating on him for several years. I shared the gospel with him and the love of GOD, he accepted the LORD and found a church near his place, he was baptised and now a part of a group in his home church. We became prayer partners and we were praying for the healing of his marriage. He talked to his wife several times and convinced her to give their relationship a chance and that he forgives her and willing to start all over again but her heart was closed to the idea. She visited her boyfriend twice, living in Scotland and this March he is coming to visit her. What hurts him the most is that his children is now close to his wife's boyfriend, and she will introduce the kids to him personally.
We were praying for his marriage to mend for more than a year now. As we connect everyday, pray, talk and share things, then.. we fall in love, yes, it's complicated. I am single, never been married. We never meet personally, I'm working here in Saudi Arabia and he is in the US. We were praying for GOD'S will. We agreed to give each other a space for two weeks. No connection, no messages, just pray and seek HIS will, a quiet time, alone with the LORD. Since his wife doesn't show any interest in reconciling the marriage, and the gap between them was getting farther because of his faith, his wife was against it. He was planning to file a divorce. There's a lot of questions that going through my mind. I know it isn't right because GOD doesn't want husband and wife to separate. I am praying and thinking of ending my relationship with him, it will be painful because I love him so much, and I am not sure if our relationship does have a chance or will it be acceptable in the eyes of GOD? I am so confused and feeling lost right now. We are both praying that the LORD will give us clarity. It will be a big help if you brothers and sisters can give me advice regarding this matter. Thank you so much for taking your time to read my message and for your help. GOD Bless!

Bella,
First of all I know that this all started out being of a good cause in helping someone.
I also think you answered your own question in the latter part of your post.

You can pray for him without contact with him.
Maybe this will change his feelings and mind towards his marriage as God states HE hates divorce.
This companionship has gotten a bit too far in my opinion as you have stated.
All I can say is do what God says (BIBLE) and not what your feelings says.
I looked and starred at this post knot knowing whether to respond or not.
It is a very touchy subject.
And I give you my opinion on what little I know of His Word.
I reply to you in love as you ask for help.
Keep praying and SEEKING God's will pertaining to this issue.
May God's will be done!

In Christ,

Real

Thank you so much for your advice. It mean a lot! I am really confused right now and feeling desperate. I am praying to GOD and it seems like I cannot wait for 2 more weeks before we connect again. I want to make a decision right away based on what I'm feeling right now. I don't know if it will be fair on him since he asked me to give him/us enough time to pray and think, I don't want to prolong the agony for it really is hurting me knowing the fact that there's no clear chances for our relationship to move on.

The wife is guilty of adultry, in Matthew 19:8,9. Jesus gives this as the one exception for divorcing. Read it and see what you think. Whatever you decide do take it slowly and prayerfully. Be blessed, dear, and give God time to answer. He will, listen when he does.
