Completed Program

Postby Shan » Wed Jan 30, 2013 1:38 pm

Well I completed the program and can say it's been a big blessing to me. I've grown in more ways through this program than I could ever have imagined. I'm excited to say it is my heartfelt desire to serve God with each new day he blesses me with. If anyone is thinking about doing this but hasn't DO it and you certainly won't regret it. After doing the counseling program and this one immediately following it is amazing that my HOPE is now TRULY in our Lord and Savior. I will always face trials and tribulations but now the difference will be I'm going to turn to God first, because he is my Hope.

I want to add that I know now where and what my calling is and that's serving the Lord by being a stay at mom and housewife. I have a son who is having to decide what road he will travel "wide or narrow" and a daughter who is growing up in a world where your image is your "worth" and both are in need of Godly wisdom and knowledge. I've been wondering for a while if this is my calling but thought it wasn't a very "important" calling as say a missionary in a foreign country. And there's so many in our society that look at someone like me (who stays home to serve God by serving her family) as lazy and not educated, what a lie and I'm sad to say it but I have believed to at times. But I have learned that mothers raise prophets and missionaries and leaders for God so I do have an important calling and this is no easy task and I'm going to need the Lord and Holy Spirit to guide me, teach me and counsel me to do what God has called me to do.

Shan,
Congratulations on completion of this program.
Every believer is called in some way.
It can be here just being a friend and guiding people or going across the world.
As for me, I try to keep my ears open and listen to Him as He may call me to do something different.
I have learned that He usually calls us to do something outside of our "comfort zone".
We should study to show ourselves approved and to be able to give an answer to the ones who ask.
As for me, I have a long way to go but I keep moving forward little by little.
The Holy Spirit is my guide if I will yield and surrender.

Many are called but Few CHOOSE.

Again, Congrats!..... *bravo*

Thank you Real. I pray the Holy Spirit continues to guide you and leads you each new day. God calls us to serve him every day and it can be uncomfortable at times and not what we expect, but He is God and his Holy Spirit is our Teacher if we allow. I recommend every mother/woman to read the Virtuous Woman study on CO, it's a 28 day program, through it the Holy Spirit has taught me a lot about God's will for us as women and how to serve him in Truth and Spirit. Maybe even some men should read it too. It definitely can't hurt!

New and Checking In

Postby Jamie808 » Fri Jul 19, 2013 3:47 am

just read Step 1 in the Program and am looking forward to the journey. I have been wrestling with my calling for quite some time now and feel I know my direction but seem to have been struck with a wall of fear about it. I'm grateful that God lead me to this site and I plan to follow through with the program by His grace and my committment
