Re: Stepping Stone 1
I'm so glad you enjoyed the step. I pray you do continue and press through the difficult things if the only option is to give up.
love ya

Sorrow looks back, Worry looks around, But faith looks up! Live simply, love generously, care deeply, speak kindly and trust in our Creator who loves us.

Re: Stepping Stone 1
I'm praying for you....
I am 11 years free of alcohol & drugs & 10 yrs free from "cutting". It took me a while to realize that the cutting was one of the ways that I masked the pain I felt inside from abuse and emotional pain. See, I don't know if this would make sense to you, but I thought it was about a "release" feeling. But what I found out later is that for me, it was a numbing aide. I'd cut the body to not feel the pain of the spirit & the mind. When I could make the outside (body) hurt worse or more than my emotional pain, I could handle it better. I seemed to be better at handling physical pain.
Finally in my recovery, I found out that I had become my own abuser. From that moment on, I did my best not to cut again and to try to not inflict pain on myself anymore. I guess I still do cause myself emotional pain by accident sometimes in my wrong choices, but it's not intentional these days. Hope that makes sense?
I am praying for you and sending you love & ((((hugs)))).
