Love Them Like Jesus

Postby mlg » Tue Sep 11, 2012 11:10 pm

Pssttt hey there....how often do you spend time with the souls of darkness? Wow bet you are thinking...mlg done gone off her rocker to think I'm gonna spend time with the souls of darkness....but have I? More like has He?

Do you know that Jesus will ask those who are strong enough in their faith, to step out of their comfort zone just for Him? It's so easy to "share" Jesus in the church...it's easy to "share" Jesus with Chrisitan brothers and sisters...because all are like minded....but it's not so easy to "SHARE" HIm in places of darkness if you are listening to the whispers of the enemy....but if you have Faith in what God can do through you...then my friend...it IS easy....cuz it's not you...it's God doing the sharing...And how often have you seen a lost soul walk through the doors of a church and people begin to comment about how they are acting out...or trying to do stuff for attention....and some will even shy away from these souls as if they have the plague or something.....well of course they are going to want attention....even Jesus knew this...He new they were desperate for Hope and He didn't run from them....He sat down and ate with them...and He went out and sought these souls to give to them the attention and love that they really needed...grace and mercy:

Luke 15:1-7 Then drew near unto him all the publicans and sinners for to hear him. And the Pharisees and scribes murmured, saying, This man receiveth sinners, and eateth with them. And he spake this parable unto them, saying, What man of you, having an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it? And when he hath found it, he layeth it on his shoulders, rejoicing. And when he cometh home, he calleth together his friends and neighbours, saying unto them, Rejoice with me; for I have found my sheep which was lost. I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance.

So if you see a lost soul...instead of finding them "difficult" or "too different to fit in" how about reaching out and sharing Truth with them in a gentle and loving manner...like Jesus used....He cares for them as He cares for you....and you never know....heaven may soon have joy over that one sinner that repents because you didn't shun the lost but loved them like Jesus instead.

Do you know my Jesus? Do you know my friend? Have you heard He loves you? If not, I'd like to introduce you.
