I would like to ask that everyone pray for my best friend from High School and her family. I received this e-mail from her just a bit ago, and want to share and ask that you all ask God to hold his protective hand over them all. I want to ask for prayers for all of those effected by these fires, those who have lost their homes, and those who are evacuating, as well as those who are living in fear of what is to come. May the Lord's will be done.

Here is her e-mail and she sent me some horrifying pictures as well. Please help me pray.

"It is incredible. We live about 19 miles from where the fires are burning.

The fires are several miles from my office, and we have a good view of the planes dropping retardant, etc. The fire has affected several people in our office, and we are hoping their homes are still inhabitable and/or there.

I could see the flames from my house. It is a spectacular site and horrific all at the same time. The smoke is unbelievable and the air quality sucks. We had ashes landing at our house last night. It is incredible that the ashes can travel so far.

Please keep praying. The fires are only getting larger, and it really is a desparate situation for the city. If you can get pictures via text, I will send some pics I took from my subdivision."
