Day 6

Postby grandma dolittle » Wed Jun 20, 2012 12:04 am

As I sat thinking about Dema's reply and advice, I remembered a verse in Ephesaisns 6:12 "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places."

I am extremely allergic to mold and we found mold in my bathroom off my bedroom. The carpet had to be ripped up, sink and tub removed. Underneath it all was black mold! It made me very ill and one of the side effects is depression. After a massive bleach spray job,a couple trips and two different types of antibotics, I am feeling much better. I realize Satan used doubts to plague me while I was sick and the fact that I missed two Sundays at church. I prayed and God has helped me. I recieved a letter from my daughter and the affair turned sour and she is coming home in February or as soon as she can get free of her lease. I have prayed for her that the Lord would help her. God does work in mysterious ways.

I spent a lovely evening with neighbors sitting my back yard visiting. This evening as I read 1st Corinthian 2nd chapter, I found a verse I have always loved. Verse 9: " But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him." Thank you, Lord. *Pray*

Sorry to hear about your trials & I'm glad to hear you’re feeling better. I have to apologize to you & everyone who has been supporting me because I've been very rebellious lately in my posts. By no means does it mean that I no longer or never have believed in Christ or that He is not my savior because He is! I just wanted to make that perfectly clear!!! It’s no excuse but I have been having a great deal of trouble sleeping for quite a while now & it’s effecting every aspect of my life.
God Bless

John,
Rebellion is Satan's middle name. Often we say things in hurt and frustration we do not mean,I understand that and your apology is accepted. I woke up early with you on my mind and prayed for words to help you. I understand the pain of the feeling of helplessness and when the world crashes in on you, you feel as if you have nothing you can do. To me it is the loss of control of my life and I don't like that. I guess that is the reason I have never done drugs, nor did I like drinking because I was not in control. It wasn't until I let Christ have control that I was able to fully function as he created me to do.
One verse that helps me a lot is I Corinthians 10:13 where Paul says that there is no temptations common to man but that God will allow us to suffer more than we can bare and then he makes a way to escape for us. He also says in Romans 8:28 "that all things work together for the good for them that love the Lord." Remember that Christ is by your side and he loves you. He was a man once and he knows all the trials we go through and understands them. He will go to God on your behalf.
Have faith.

yes, I am feeling much better. I take shots every week for mold and I usually smell it long before anyone else, but this sneaked up on me and black mold will make anyone sick, but it really knocks me off my feet.

I've heard that black mold can make anyone sick it must be really bad if you’re allergic to it. It just so happens that I have Romans 8:28 on a 3x5 on my computer desk along with Romans 8:6 – To be Spiritually minded is life & peace. Also The Holy Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead, live in you (that paraphrased) to remind me I have God’s Spirit living within me. I have all these quote on 3x5 cards in front of me & yet I still seem to focus on all the negative garbage in my life. It’s really hard sometimes because I’m an organized person & my wife is not. I got so tired of dealing with it that I gave up & of course it went from bad to disastrous. I have ask for Gods help with that along with the many other “issues” & I have to remember Philippians 4:13 – I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me! (another one I have on the wall) All my love & support back at ya!!!
God Bless
