Day 10: Not Good!

Postby JohnR » Tue Jun 05, 2012 11:05 pm

I’m on day 10 but today was not a good day. I didn’t get to work on any step today. I wound up going out with a “worldly” friend & was sorry I did so (see my post: HELP *VERY IMPORTANT* NEED FEEDBACK). So when I got home in order to change my mood I listened to some Christian music going to, during, & on my way home from work & started to feel better. But then when I got home after eating & a series of negative events & still being upset over what happened today (again, see my aforementioned post) I became angry again. I’m just starting to calm down now. I get so tired of things, people, problems, etc. that sometimes I just wish this life was over with. I know that God has a plan but my life is such a mess & I get so frustrated, I don’t know which way to turn. Praying for strength & victory over my problems!

"Preach the gospel everyday and when necessary, use words".
When we stub our toe, we cry out to the most high God- 'JESUS', because Buddha can't help. We are also angry at that piece of furniture and many times ourselves. So we move that furniture out of the way and remember to stay away as we walk by it. There is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. I know how tough it is. I had a meth habit for about 8 years and a coke habit, and I don't mean the 'Real Thing' (the Beverly Hills stuff) for about 3 years before that. You think you are done with it and the next day you are back in the slop for another year. I know. So why are you angry? Is it because you let yourself down or God? No worries, don't forget grace that God has for you. Pray for God to prepare you for the next battle. Prayer works! I've seen it bring a child- baby Samuel- into this world- he had all major organs growing outside of his body in the womb. So the prayer group prayed for months. The organs began to grow back into his body and upon his birth, surgery was able to complete what God didn't. The miracle in this is that all other cases of this in the past the child either died in the womb or shortly after birth. This is the first ever that, well, he got to go home a couple of weeks ago. Point is - God led you here and He's just letting you perform surgery now, because He doesn't have to help you. You can do it! Pick yourself off and dust yerself off.
You are doing well. So we miss a stepping stone and got some dirt on our shoes. Scrape it off and get back on the path.
Love you brother. Forgive yourself and I'm praying for ya.
1 John 4:7 Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.

Hello JohnR (((hugs)))

God bless you!

David has given you awesome advice and encouragement. The Holy Spirit is speaking to you through David. Hallelujah!!! Thank You Lord!!!

Christians do fall -- we all do. Repent and get back up. The Lord loves you.

I just wanted to mention, in case you did not know, there is a Chat Program on Thursday nights (tomorrow night) at 9pm (Eastern Time) called Real Solutions, and it deals with addictions. I hope you'll be able to attend. Remember, you are not alone.

God bless and keep you, JohnR.
Love,
Mack
