Day 1

Postby iloveanimals » Mon Jun 04, 2012 5:07 am

I'm not really sure what to write about so I'm just going to babble.
I'm really excited about the 14 day journey we are all taking, and excited about this online community in general.
I've been trying to heal myself for a year and a half now ever since I was sexually assaulted.
At times it is tiring and I have given up a on days, but after I decided to try my best and get my life back I had made much success.
Yet it still felt like SOMETHING was missing.
Sometimes I feel I am not worthy of asking God for help.
I don't think very highly of myself.
I even wonder if He is punishing me for all my sins.
I want to build a better relationship with the Lord.
I've come here to make new friends that I can share my experiences with.
I came here to learn more about Jesus.
I want to help myself and I want to help others.
I need to help myself first.
I've been hurting and been sick in the head for a long time.
I want to love myself because I love all of God's creatures, therefore I need to love myself too.
I'm going to start my journal today but I thought why not give this a try too.
I will be reading other's entries and I feel blessed to be taking this journey with company.

Hello again Tara,
I am happy you decided to do the 14 day journey as well, it will help you to heal and give you better understanding
As for the sexual assault, I am SO sorry for this happening to you and I pray our Lord will do anything in His power to help you to heal of this and be happy, NO woman should EVER have to endure that.
As for the feeling unworthy none of us are worthy but His grace is enough, if we only were able to go to Him when we were worthy....no one would be able to go to Him.
One thing I want to make clear though, You ARE worthy of His love and ALWAYS will be cause He's awesome like that!!
You say you don't think very highly of yourself and feel as if He is punishing you.....it is not He that is punishing you....it's you, You need to see He created you in His image and I know a little secret...shhhh....God don't make junk *BigGrin*
How can I say all this cause I along with several others here are or have been RIGHT where you are in how you feel
And yes I still have my days but I'm learning *Pray*
And as for the helping others, don't wait for your own healing (if that was the case most here wouldn't reach out) part of the healing is helping others to heal and in turn it heals you as well, so when you feel Him pushing you to reach out don't be afraid He IS with you and so are we *hug*
May God bless you and wrap His loving arms around you and give you peace.

We serve an awsome God & He has chosen awsome people to serve Him. They are here on this site INCLUDING YOU!!! May God comfort you & give you rest. He forgives you so please forgive yourself. Nobody deserves or asks for what happened to you & never think that it is something you brought onto yourself. Please keep at it & I think you'll see much improvement in how you feel.
May God Bless you richly!
