Watching from a distance and wondering what's real
Message in a bottle thrown out to sea
Is this the way it will always be

These thoughts and feelings trouble me much
Reaching for the warmth of human touch
Outside looking in while inside looking out
I cant understand what it's all about

Can you hear my voice, can you see my soul
Crying for release, some form of control
Crowded like jungle, yet barren like sand
I try to hold on, but it slips through my hands

I send up a plea for my God to hear it
Desires of flesh at war with the spirit
My God is not about this confusion
May He reveal the truth from illusion
