His Presence is at this moment.

Being absent from the body is being present with the Lord. Many years i have believed that this is a true statement from the bible that assures me that when i pass from this life and out of this body, I will be present with Him. It has brought me much comfort when thoughts arise of the end of this human life. I am not disputing that is what the verse means. IN my daily application, how does that apply to me now? Diggging deeper into the spiritual sense of this verse.

This morning while meditating, it dawned on me. Being absent from this fleshly thinking and living in each moment, in the present... I am present with the Lord. When carried along in all the rivers and streams of thoughts of past and of future i am truly not present with the Lord. I am not present at all, kinda checked out from the present and living in a time other than right now. When all that noise is clear, I am with the Lord. I am aware of His presense. Being absent from the body, the flesh, this mind that is the battlefield.... I AM in the presense of the Lord! He has full access to my heart and soul and i can just simply live with Him in this moment.

After looking this verse up in the Greek language and doing some study on it, it has brought me so much more meaning and enlightment to me at this moment, it not far off, this kingdom of Heaven. This kingdom of heaven is now, within me. When i use this verse as a hope for a future "event" I am not eating the fruit of the verse and tasting how sweet this fruit is that we have at this very moment. Not enjoying the kingdom now, but seeing it at a later tense dims the kingdom of this moment.

Lord you are so good to us.

God bless

Last night as i lay in bed, not being able to focus on reading, i put my book down and listened.

As i drowned out all the thoughts i can hear the howling wind. The branches of the trees creaking. It brought me a sense of comfort and felt peace. He whispered to me "This is True peace". When outside circumstances are loud and is rapping at the the windows of my mind and my heart. When the winds are tossing the leaves and twigs to and fro. There is peace. The peace is within the storm.

I was at times tempted along my walk with the Lord, to believe that the only time i will have peace is when everything goes according to how i thought it should be, or when there is silence and no troubles or trials in my life. This is NOT peace, this peace compares nothing to the Peace in the midst of the howling storms. When everything around me is hectic and flying around, when things seemed like they are turned upside down.... Our Christ shows us what Peace was all about.. standing firmly in perfect peace amidst all the chaos during the events surrounding Him before the crucifixion. The winds didn't phase me last night, they brought me comfort.. cause i know in them is peace.

What a great reminder He gave me last night, a true lesson of peace. His peace.

Thank You Lord \./

Serenity is not freedom from the storm, but peace amid the storm.

amen momo and ty *hug*

Beautiful song :)

I try to bite my tongue, my Lord knows how i try... but when i see something going on that i am not in agreement with. I can't. I have to speak up and express my outlook on the situation. It is my God given right to do so when my motive of expressing my standing point on such grounds is a motive out of love and peace. Just as well as it is their God given right to do so as well. So if two are at odds with a certain "situation" common sense says find a middle ground. Find the peace in the matter and dont build fences between one another. Accept the difference of viewpoint or perception of situation and come to a common agreement between ALL parties involved. An agreement without putting another out of reach from each other. Resolve resentment quickly, before it has any time to grow into something bigger than what it realy is. Its not a matter of whos right or whos wrong. Its a difference of viewpoint, thats all it is. It's important to keep it their and not develop it into an arguement between a brother and a sister.

Father, i ask that you will help tear down any fences that we chose to build and help us fill the gap with Your understanding, peace and love. Help us to keep life simple and full of your grace and forgiveness. I humbly ask that you dissolve any barriers that i have built between me and another, for i know that any barrier i build in my heart against one of yours, keeps me further away from You. And Lord I thank u for that.

IN Jesus name i pray.
Amen

I am lovin these quotes on storms!!

For the man sound of body and serene of mind there is no such thing as bad weather; every day has its beauty, and storms which whip the blood do but make it pulse more vigorously.

FREEDOM!

I am mended by my sickness, enriched by my poverty, and strengthened by my weakness.... Thus was it with.... Manasseh, when he was in affliction, "He besought the Lord his God": even that king's iron was more precious to him than his gold, his jail a more happy lodging than his palace, Babylon a better school than Jerusalem. What fools are we, then, to frown upon our afflictions! These, how crabbed soever, are our best friends. They are not indeed for our pleasure, they are for our profit.

Since I last posted I have been losing the battle in my mind. It is hard to break habits. I have not been meditating this past week n have ran with the thoughts. Mentally it has been an exhausting week. As I look back in my journal I reread and try to get back on track. Watching my thought patterns and getting rid of the ones that don't belong.

This morning when I woke up I enjoyed my first few moments in bed and then the damaging thoughts began like a tape recorder bein Played over n over. In my mind I would fight with the thoughts. That didn't help, but Iater that morning to turn my attention, I got out my harmonica. They stopped. So I'm finding that fighting with it, is not working with me. But turning my attention from it they go.

The past week has been fighting, I am again going to get back up and continue on and mark this as hopefully a lesson learned. It is a daily battle, I kid no one... It is hard to keep on top of it. One day at a time

God bless

I am feeling a little burnt out from being a caregiver to an alzheimer client. I know it is the disease, I understand the mood changes. But they change so rapidly! Literally one moment to the next. It's taking a toll on me besides trying to stay on top of the homeschool and working full time, I am a bit overwhelmed and have been snippy.

Lord grant me the serenity....(forget the words) lol well He hears my heart n knows the words:)

N e wayzzz that's my whine for the day:)

Hello Jilly *hug*

God bless you this day.

Awwwwww, Jilly, (((((((hugs))))))) I do understand. God does understand. Bless your heart.

You know what I've found in regards to taking care of the elderly whose minds have been attacked by dementia and/or alzheimers and the disease makes them violent and cruel, I have found out that most have no idea of the toll it takes on the caregivers. Well, Jilly, I do know, so here...have another big ole hug (((((((hugs))))))).

I've heard all the "lectures", the suggestions, even from those that are well-meaning but who have no earthly idea of what they are talking about, but for some reason feel that they know something that never occurred to us -- like the OBVIOUS!!! ;)

Jilly, I'm here to give you ((((((hugs))))))). I know that you know what to do, and you know Who to depend on, and that you know He'll make a way, will renew you and give you the tools, the love, the strength to carry on. (((((((hugs))))))).

Prayers are rising for you, my dear. May God's blessed and perfect will be done.

God bless and keep you, my dear. I love your heart, and so does The Lord. That's why He called you to do what you do.
Love,
Mack

Thank u Mack for all your hugs n love (((hugs))) back atcha!

Yesterday was one of the most challenging days I had with this client. I was wore out emotionally, physically and was beginning to get at me spiritually.

Last nite I had a reAly good sleep, when I woke up I decided that no matter what kind of day the client is going to have today... I am going to have a good day. When I made this decision God brought to my attention all the things I have been learning while caring for this individual. Besides the obvious of techniques I have been learning such as redirecting, distracting and acknowledging her feelings at the time and showing compassion,( because those feeling regardless if they are related to something "real" or some hallucination or delusion... They are real to her.) God has been showing me how to act in patience, strengthening me, defusing anger, nOt taking things so personal, and how to DUCK! Not to mention reading body language and using opportune timing in when to best be able to assist her with her ADL's.

So, as I was telling Vahn earlier He is making a soldier out of me wether I like it or not. Thank u Lord!
You know what else? Today was a great day with her, only one close call. Thank u Lord and thank all who pray.\./!!!
