Why should I try

Postby tntchao » Thu Nov 17, 2011 10:43 pm

Why should I try so hard to restore this marriage if my wife is unwilling to restore it. It frustrates me to no end. I am trying so hard to do and say the right things while she just does not care about our relationship. I have "Let go and Let God" I know I have to be patient an give God a chance to do his work. I just do not see any results for all my hard work. I love my wife with all my heart. I do not want to get back together right now I just want to start working on our problems.

Would she consider marriage counceling with your pastor?

I asked you this before...or maybe suggested it, but The Love Dare is an awesome book and tool the Lord may speak to you through. Have you read it?

Im praying for you as so many others here are. At this point it sounds as though you are angry about it all....or that you are at the point of thinking about giving up. Give up your will for His, bro. Surrender ALL to Him, including the outcome of this marriage. It took this long to get to this point in your relationship and its not going to be healed over night. He is working with her free will and her heart and her pain, anger and disappointments as well. Surrender EVERYTHING to Him. His will be done in this.

Please get the book...and give it a try. It was meant for marriages such as yours..and keep praying.

In Jesus,
luv momo *Halo*

I have not read the book. As for counseling, I have tried but she is unwilling to do anything for our marriage.

Hello tntchao,

I am sorry for your pain in this situation *hug* .

Many times i have asked myself this same question," why should i try?" , In general situations of my life.

Now, i dont know all the circumstances surrounding your marriage , nor do i intend to advise you on your marriage. For that is between you both and God. Counseling works wonders, but if the other party is not willing... well, it is out of your power and try your best to rest it in His hands and know that God is in control. That might mean that things dont go our way. Anyways im running off of what i wanted to type.

We should try, in any situation, because it is the right thing to do. Because we are not just doing it for ourselves but moreso for our Lord. Because it is not for our selfish gain that we try to do things , but out of our love and adoration for our God to do His will in every situation. Does that mean it willl change the outcome of the "situation" , no, not necessarily.... but it changes your relationship to be much more closer to Him.

I am praying for your situation.

God bless
♥Jill

Focus on being who He wants you to be. Then the rest will fall into place. Try to please Him.
