Stepping Stone 7

Postby Amie80 » Mon Oct 17, 2011 9:41 pm

I didnt do much today I had a terrible night last night and a lot of residual stress was still rearing its ugly head. In stepping stone 7 I learned that you can take thoughts and take them to the part of your mind reserved for truth and if its not a true thought to toss it out. This is very helpful because my mind goes nuts with thoughts of what ifs and oh I bet this will happen and of course with things others say to me.

Hi Amie, *hug*

Our minds are where the battle is. When my kids first started driving..when one was gone, Id imagine the worst. And if I heard a fire engine go by..Lord have mercy, they were most certainly involved in an accident...and what if...and oh, but...if, if, if...they would come in....and Id be drained, half mad at them and almost in tears with relief!!! I put myself in my own prison of worry...and doubt...and they had done NOTHING wrong *Whistle*

Scripture teaches us to cast down imaginations and to take our thoughts captive. Easy? Nope...doable? Yes, with the Lord's help, faith in the fact that no matter what happens, God is in control..and each time you take things to the Lord and His truth, it becomes easier to shed the lies and replace them with His truth.

Sis, people dont define you. Take what they say and if it doesnt match up to what the Lord says, toss it out. You are defined by Him. People are all in need of Him and His forgiveness..and healing. I love the scripture about thinking about the things that are good, and holy, and true, and virtuous. Im praying for you through this..as so many are. And, we are praying about your health, as well. God's perfect will be done.

God bless you, sister in Jesus

love,
momo *Halo*
