So true! I like that.

I know what is healed because despite that nothing has changed about it, the memories don't effect me. Like reading someone elses book instead of my own. It's yuck, but doesn't hurt. Just thinking out loud.

That is a very good idea. I am certain they will help.

Just like the one you just shared. I use to think healing meant not remembering. But to not remember someone would have to remove my brain, but even my body remembers.

My dad had his finger cut off and the tip of his finger hurt so bad it brought him to his knees. It was gone. The tip was gone but it hurt worse all day and all night than anything he'd ever experienced. Sorta weird. Weird how though something is gone, it still hurts terribly. The mind is a very strange and complex thing. It can even convince the body that what isn't there is still there and still hurting.

It is not easy. It is never easy. But we have a God who helps us through. With out Him it would be impossible to heal completely. He makes it possible.

Forgiving does not erase the bitter past.A healed memory in not a deleated memory.Instaed,forgiving what we cannot forget creates a new way to rember.we can can change the memory of our past into a hope for our future.

that is really neat Ciny we can't change what happened nor can we change how we responded to something in the past; what we can change is what we do with what happened now. Sometimes that includes seeing a memory with new light and with new hope and sometimes it's not letting that memory have the same power over us that it once did and giving the power to God instead

Incest healing
Labels i dislike this one lable a counclor was trying to put on me that i was damgaged goods i
stood up for my self and said thats not what God says about me anger kind of rose up in me but
i curved my anger she was truing to justify it as good paarts of it made sents like i was reusable
i told her i didnt like the lable and i was not claming it it made me feal less than i was she actualy under stood
what i ment she said she would not want to be concideed damaged eather.

Ps 139:14 I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.
15 My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.
16 Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.
17 How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them!

God sees me as whole yes i was born into sin and fall short of the glory of God he sees me made whole throught his son Jesus Christ
i was out in the world walked away from God when i said this to my counclor affter that i started thinking how God hellped me to stand up for my belifes i could feal drawing me back to him that day.

iam still healing form the incest of the family member who abused me i can see wear i was damaged but i am made whole throu Gods son Jesus christ.

2Co 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

quotes can be such a blessing and help good idea searching for them and I'm so glad you are sharing them also!

Ooooh Ciny good job!!! I've been told that damaged goods line before as well and didn't even think not to claim it; what a great idea how much better to think on the truth that God says about you instead as you are in what you listed

Hi Ciny,
I thought of this while reading your post.
think of it as a notebook and pencil,
instead of trying to "erase" the bitter past, I'm sure we have ALL made mistakes on paper and tried to "erase" them, you end up with a messed up piece of paper that you still see bits and pieces of what you "erased"....it's just not a very pretty picture, the forgiveness is turning the page of the notebook so you can fill the next page with happy drawings and writings and put the page before to rest behind this page, you are not eliminating the page but it is BEHIND the other therefore being forgiven with a clean sheet of paper to start over with to make beautiful words and pictures on
I pray God gives us ALL a very BIG notebook and a LARGE eraser
