Re: Jill's thoughts for the day...
I talked with Human resources at one of the jobs i applied for awhile back to see what the hold up was , seems to be a mix up in adresses or something like that and we are still waiting for results of my fingerprints to come back before they can hire me. It is in an Alzheimer locked down unit, realy close to home. Lord's will be done the position is still open and we are just waiting. Please join in prayer for His will if you are led to. Have realy enjoyed the time off of this type of work but realy want to get back to work with the elderly where i can be of service to Him.
Thank u
God bless

Re: Jill's thoughts for the day...
Ty Lani and all who felt led to keep me and mine in prayer . God's will be done.
He brought me to these scriptures today, thought they were maybe for another, but actually i am totally feelin the vibe from them
Therefore I, a prisoner for serving the Lord, beg you to lead a life worthy of your calling, for you have been called by God.
Eph 4:2 Always be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other, making allowance for each other's faults because of your love.
Eph 4:3 Make every effort to keep yourselves united in the Spirit, binding yourselves together with peace.
Eph 4:4 For there is one body and one Spirit, just as you have been called to one glorious hope for the future.
Eph 4:5 There is one Lord, one faith, one baptism,
Eph 4:6 and one God and Father, who is over all and in all and living through all.
Eph 4:7 However, he has given each one of us a special gift [fn] through the generosity of Christ.
Eph 4:8 That is why the Scriptures say, "When he ascended to the heights, he led a crowd of captives and gave gifts to his people." [fn]
Eph 4:9 Notice that it says "he ascended." This clearly means that Christ also descended to our lowly world. [fn]
Eph 4:10 And the same one who descended is the one who ascended higher than all the heavens, so that he might fill the entire universe with himself.
Eph 4:11 Now these are the gifts Christ gave to the church: the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, and the pastors and teachers.
Eph 4:12 Their responsibility is to equip God's people to do his work and build up the church, the body of Christ.
Eph 4:13 This will continue until we all come to such unity in our faith and knowledge of God's Son that we will be mature in the Lord, measuring up to the full and complete standard of Christ.
Eph 4:14 Then we will no longer be immature like children. We won't be tossed and blown about by every wind of new teaching. We will not be influenced when people try to trick us with lies so clever they sound like the truth.
Eph 4:15 Instead, we will speak the truth in love, growing in every way more and more like Christ, who is the head of his body, the church.
Eph 4:16 He makes the whole body fit together perfectly. As each part does its own special work, it helps the other parts grow, so that the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love.
Eph 4:17 With the Lord's authority I say this: Live no longer as the Gentiles do, for they are hopelessly confused.
Eph 4:18 Their minds are full of darkness; they wander far from the life God gives because they have closed their minds and hardened their hearts against him.
Eph 4:19 They have no sense of shame. They live for lustful pleasure and eagerly practice every kind of impurity.
Eph 4:20 But that isn't what you learned about Christ.
Eph 4:21 Since you have heard about Jesus and have learned the truth that comes from him,
Eph 4:22 throw off your old sinful nature and your former way of life, which is corrupted by lust and deception.
Eph 4:23 Instead, let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes.
Eph 4:24 Put on your new nature, created to be like God—truly righteous and holy.
Eph 4:25 So stop telling lies. Let us tell our neighbors the truth, for we are all parts of the same body.
Eph 4:26 And "don't sin by letting anger control you." [fn] Don't let the sun go down while you are still angry,
Eph 4:27 for anger gives a foothold to the devil.
Eph 4:28 If you are a thief, quit stealing. Instead, use your hands for good hard work, and then give generously to others in need.
Eph 4:29 Don't use foul or abusive language. Let everything you say be good and helpful, so that your words will be an encouragement to those who hear them.
Eph 4:30 And do not bring sorrow to God's Holy Spirit by the way you live. Remember, he has identified you as his own, [fn] guaranteeing that you will be saved on the day of redemption.
Eph 4:31 Get rid of all bitterness, rage, anger, harsh words, and slander, as well as all types of evil behavior.
Eph 4:32 Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you.
Ty Lord
God bless

Re: Jill's thoughts for the day...
I have been reading a book "Great sermons of the world" And of course are included Christ's sermons directly taken from the bible.
There is one guy in there his name is Thomas Chalmers has a great sermon in there titled "The Expulsive Power of a New Affection" It is a lil tuff to read, big words and was written in 1800's so language is of that time in Scotland. Im still chewing on it. But am loving the way it has brought me alot of understanding about the gospel and man.
“The most effectual way of withdrawing the mind from one object, is not by turning it away upon desolate and un-peopled vacancy—but by presenting to its regards another object still more alluring.” Accordingly, our greed and lust for prosperity, worldly success, power and prestige can be replaced only by a greater love for Jesus Christ, which inspires us to live in sacrificial generosity as he did for us. "
If to be without desire and without exertion altogether is a state of violence and discomfort, then the present desire, with its correspondent train of esertion, is not to be got rid of simply by destroying it. It must be by substituting another desire and another line of habit of exertion in it's place; an the most effectual way of withdrawing the mind from one subject, is not by turning it away upon desolate and unpeopled vacancy, but by presenting to its regards another object still more alluring.
These remarks apply not merely to love considered in its state of desire for an object not yet obtained. They apply also to love considered in its state of indulgence or placid gratification, with an object already in possession. It is seldom that any of our tastes are made to disappear by a mere process of natural extinction. At least, it is very seldom that this is done through the instrumentality of reasoning. It may be done by excessive pampering, but it is almost never done by the mere force of determination. But what cannot be thus destroyed may be dispossessed; and one taste may be made to give way to another, and to lose its power entirely as the reigning affection of the mind. It is thus the boy ceases, at length, to be the slave of his appetite, but it is because a manlier taste has now brought it into subordination. ......
This, we trust, will explain the operation of that charm which accompanies the effectual preaching of the gospel. The love of God and the love of the world are two affections, not merely in a state of rivalship, but in a state of enmity- and that so irreconcilable that they cannot dwell together in the same bosom. We have already affirmed how impossible it were for the heart, by innate elasticity of its own, to cast the world away from it, and thus reduce itself to a wilderness. The heart is not so constituted, and the only way to dispossess it of an old affection is by the elusive power of a new one. Nothing can exceed the magnitude of the required change in a man's character when bidden as he is in the New Testament, to love not the world; no, nor any of the things that are in the world, for this so comprehends all that is dear to him in existence as to be equivalent to a command of self annihilation. But the same revelation which dictates so mighty an obedience places within our reach as mighty an instrument of obedience. It brings for admittance, to the very door of our heart, an affection which, once seated upon its throne , will either subordinate every previous inmate, or bid it away. Beside the world, it places before the eye of the mind him who made the world, and with this peculiarity, which is all its own: that in the gospel do we so behold God, as that we may love God. It is there, and there only, where God stands revealed as an object of confidence to sinners; where our desire after him is not chilled into apathy by that barrier of human guilt which intercepts every approach that is not made to him through the appointed Mediator. It is the bringing in of this better hope, wherby we draw nigh unto God- and to live without hope is to live without God, and if the heart be without God, the world will then have all the ascendancy. It is God apprehended by the believer as God in Christ who alone can dispose it from this ascendancy. It is when he stands dismantled of the terrors which belong to him as an offended lawgiver, and when we are enable by faith, which is his own gift, to see the glory in the face of Jesus Christ and to hear his beseeching voice, as it protests good will to men and entreats the return of all who will to a full pardon, and a gracious acceptance; it is then, that a love paramount to the love of the world, and at length expulsive of it, first arises in the regenerating bosom. It is when released from the spirit of bondage, with which love cannot dwell, and then admitted into the number of God's children, through faith that is in Christ Jesus, the sprit of adoption is poured upon us-it is then that the heart, brought under the mastery of one great predominant affection, is delivered from the tyranny of its former desires, and in the only way in which deliverance is possible. And that faith which is revealed to us from heaven as indispensable to a sinner's justification in the sight of God, is also the instrument of the greatest of all moral and spiritual achievements on a nature dead to the influence, and byond the reach of every other application.
So much more in this sermon, i am still chewing and thanking God for this revelation of understanding to me.
God bless

Re: Jill's thoughts for the day...
YAY!
Darling daughter is home. I missed her She wants a puppy and i am horribly allergic to dogs and i love dogs its sad to have allergies. So we looked online to see what dogs are good for allergies and found that those lil terriers are supposed to be good. So we went to the pet store in the mall just to see if they had one and i could test the allergy friendly theory out.... well ... it was ok for like 5 minutes. That was about two hours ago and i am still snifflin and miserable . I want to get her a puppy with all my heart, i love dogs. But i dont want to be miserable all day and sneezing and itchy eyes and all that stuff. I told her we could get one of the chinese crested dogs they dont have much hair, she said no they are ugly.. so anyways idk
oh oh oh!! i got hopeful news! I have an interview tomorrow, the other place did not call me back yet so idk whats going on there.
But actually this may be better job for my back It will be housekeeping in a nursing facility. So i can still interact with the residents and not kill my back AND it would be ful time dayshift! right now just perdiem but someone is retiring in the fall where they would consider to hire me with benefits. Plus other things might open up. Prayi9ng for His will in this. Now i got to figure out what im going to wear, never done housekeeping in a job setting before but i am going to dress professional maybe? any pointers?
Anyways that is about all for now.
God is good!

Re: Jill's thoughts for the day...
i have a second interview on tuesday but not for housekeeper , for caregiver
only downside to this position is no guarantee of hours, but can be a wonderful and fullfilling and supplemental second job I would make my own schedule and the pay is great. Just hoping i dont have to fight over hours. Well i am thinking way too far in advance, first need to go to second interview. But i wouldnt have to drive all over the place either cause all the residents live on the campus.
My lifes pointless without change, take this moment to rearrange all the dreams inside of me.
I desire to look like You, look like You my King
take this heart right out of me, strip away all that you see that doesnt look like you my King
Would you change me? would you change me to look like You
God's will be done
God bless

Re: Jill's thoughts for the day...
It just hit me.... idk if ur willing to take allergy medicine but if u do decide to, they also help with doggies. I have allergies, never got tested so Idk if allergic to doggies too, but i gotta take em everyday and for me it's worth it to have my furbabies... just a thought sis... There is also a doggie that has no hair i don't remember the name of them but supposedly people aren't supposed to be allergic to them that normally have doggie allergies. GBU sister in your quest to find the right doggie.
