Pray for my son Sean and his girlfriend Theresa

Postby Sophiekins » Sat Jun 11, 2011 7:46 pm

My son has been not following the Lord for over 10 years now. He is 29 years old. He was baptised when he was 20 and two months after that the church he was attending, the whole pastorial team resigned.....Sean threw up his hands and turned against Christianity. Since then he has lived a life of drugs, alcohol, crime and prison sentences. For years he was lost on the streets of Vancouver BC. Through prayer and determination, I was able to locate him and was able to give him some support while he went to court and did spend a time in prison. When he finished his prison sentence, we were able to get him into a government funded treatment center. He was diagnoised with mild schizophrenia. He was on meds while in treatment...but once finished his treatment he went off his meds. He also moved in with a girl from the treatment centre who is still using methadone for her drug addiction. He has been clean for two years, or at least we think he is, but he is hot and cold with the family. This family has prayed, cared and welcomed him back loveingly all the time.....right now, I his MOM is the bad guy once again, and I am being shunned. A month ago his girlfriend had a fit and they had a fight and my son did admit that he hit her. She charged him and he spent a night in jail. He was given a retaining order to not be near her place for 3-weeks. He still has his trial to go to in a few weeks. After the 3 weeks were up....he went back to her. He was living in his vehicle for those 3-weeks. She has been nothing but poison to him. His last probation officer told us that she does not know what hold she has on my son.....but my son will always struggle with her as she is still fighting her addiction. She is much older than my son and she had her 3 children, ages 13 - 18 taken away from her 6 years ago.
Both my son and his girlfriend mock our Christianity and dabble in the occult. There was a lot of porn and occult stuff on the facebook, so we had to block him and his girlfriend as we do not like that kind of stuff. They feel that we are judging them.....that we feel our way is better than theirs, we don't give them the freedom to express their thoughts, but we want to express our Christian thoughts. They call us hipocrites.......non-caring.......judgemental.......

I love my son, but it has been already 10 years since his journey on the dark side started. I pray and pray and I feel God is not listening......I see all my peers, their children getting married, getting good jobs, having children, living a good life.....some are not Christians but they have good moral values.....I am so embrassed of my son and I feel like a failure as a mom......I lived and raised my son in a good Christian home, I worked hard and at times two jobs to make ends meet. We attended churh. My son was involved in sports, music, youth, worship teams, went on youth trips, etc.....he graduated with honours, went to one year of college and then everything changed. My dreams for my son was lost and I was all alone. I met my husband in early 2003 and we married in late 2003. My son was not at my wedding.....it broke my heart. I love my son, but I don't know my son. It is hard to talk to him because he brings up Satan and occult talks and when we don't want to talk that my son gets angry.......he wants to be apart of the family, but we all live clean moral Christian lives and that bothers my son......his phone calls, emails, facebook and sometimes visit are mixed with good time and negative times.

I just want my son back that we he was before he went to the darkside. He is my only blood son. He is my only blood family.

Please pray that the demons in my son are cast out and that he will turn his life to the Lord. I am so worried that he will get into more trouble. My son has faced death so many times and he did come thru that, I just want to experience a family life with my son. I did not have a good family life and it was my deepest prayer to change that when I had my son.

Please pray.

Thank you.

Sean is a form of the name, John.
John is the desciple whom Jesus loved.

A rose by any other name is still a rose.
John, by any other name, is still loved by Jesus.

Yes, Sean, Jesus loves you!

When you accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, all your sins were forgiven. All your sins. ALL of them.
Even those you committ in times of weekness. *ALL*

"Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it."

Dear Lord,

Sean accepted you at a young age. Now he is but 29 years young. It is my prayer that Sean be aged beyond his years,
but in your grace and protected from evil, before any more trouble comes his way.

In Jesus name we pray.

Wow! Now that was rather different.

I had read Sophiekins post twice before responding. I asked the Holy Spirit to direct my prayer.
Instead of going directly - boldly - before our Father, he had me speak directly to Sean, first.
That tells me that the Lord has received and heard the prayers for Sean already. And the thing
to do now is to go to Sean and tell him that Jesus is by his side, walking with him, going through
the fire with him, protecting him. Jesus had never left him. He's always been there for him, waiting.
Waiting for Sean to open his heart again and ask for His help.

I received nothing on Theresa. That tells me, if this relationship is the will of God, it will come by way
of the living water that flows through Sean. I'm getting goosebumps writing this. I am feeling Sean will
water many a seed with the rivers of living water that are flowing through him. He needs to be tolds so.

I apologize if I am out of line here. The powers that be will correct me if I am.
I just feel so clearly focused on this right now.

As one speaks to the storm, "Peace, Be Still." One needs to speak to Sean. " Jesus loves you, He has never left you."
I put that in quotes cause they are not Timothy's words.
