Conversations With My Brother
My brother and I have always been music lovers. We have always shared that common bond. I'm closer to him than my two sisters because of this love we have for music. I'd rather talk music with him, than to talk about clothes, shoes, etc that sisters like to talk about. LOL
When I was in my teens(1975), my brother came home one day with an album by a German rock band named "LAKE". It was pretty much unheard of then for groups to sing songs about Jesus Christ. But on this particular album they did. The song is called "Jesus Came Down". It became my favorite song...I think I wore that album out listening to that song over and over and over again.
About a year ago, my brother and I were on the phone. We started talking about music(of course!), remembering the "good ol' days of rock and roll". Both of us at the same time said "D'you remember that song by LAKE?" At that point we both started singing it....It was a kewl moment shared between us...and the 1,250 miles that seperate us.
I found the song on Youtube...but even better...I found the lyrics...and here they are. Read the lyrics...then go to Youtube and check out the song! Guarantee....You'll be rocking to it!
Daisy
Father Time you hold the key,
To what will come and what will be.
Things would happen that could change our lives...
The second coming of the Lord-
What would you think it made of us?
What would He say.....?
(Chorus)
Jesus came down and the word got around...
He wasn't pleased at the fighting, oh!
Thousands of years, full of blood, pain and tears...
Yes, he found out that the world hadn't changed!
(2nd Verse)
And we nailed him to a cross,
For preaching faith and love to us-
Times have changed, that's what we always say...
It's just a dream that some believe,
Perhaps today at twenty years, we'll see the day!!!
Repeat chorus
Repeat chorus

Re: Conversations With My Brother
Thanks Pine!
Yeah, my brother and I are close. I miss him, but I am so thankful that he turned his life around and found the Lord. He, his wife and their kids all attend church regularly, read their Bible and live their life by His Word. God blessed Him and us when my sister-in-law came into the family "picture". She is rock solid, loves her family...treats my brother so good! I know he's in God's and her hands now. I don't have to feel so protective of him(even though he is older, I've always felt he needed protection).
Hope you and Cubby enjoy the song!
Love you, sis!
God Bless you and your family

You're welcome sis! Like you, I too like to hear stories/songs that glorify Him. Glad you enjoyed the song. It's my intention to do my best...to try and reach out to others and glorify Him "to the masses" one way or another. Oasis is a great place/platform for that purpose! \0/
Love ya'!
