Ahhh...Jill. I know how you feel. I sooo dislike all those Christmas commercials where people give the diamonds, Rolex watches, new cars. Come on ....get real! Can I please see a commercial about sweet Baby Jesus in the Manger and HIS gift to us all!! We are truly blessed by HIS love and HIS gift of eternal life. He has also blessed me with a great family...who are all very healthy and functioning pretty well at this time!
Thanks for the reminder of the "Reason for the Season"!!
ps...ignore Vahn at every opportunity.

I find myself sitting here wondering what to type.
Christmas was good. Kids are ok. I am trying to learn Hebrew. One of my great grandparents on my mom's side was Jewish. The other a German, how ironic , eh? I have learned the first five letters of the alphabet thus far. You know i never realised how much spiritual meaning is in the aleph-bet. Eye opener. Not anything like the western world. For me everything was memorized when i was in school. No meanings behind them. Just characters with no "character" . Just phonics. No explanation to where the letters came from or how they came about. Not so with the Hebrew language.
The more i thought about it. MOst of my experiences of learning in school were the same. Just memorize and no explanation. A modern culture of "Just give me the answer, will ya?" No foot work, no pondering, no thesis or theory, just an A , B, C, D and F for a grade, thank u very much.
Fast world living in the "GIMMEEE NOW!" Generation. Not knowing how to explain their feelings, their desires, or differentiating between needs and wants. And when you try to explain how something works, they become impatient and want the answer. Dont bore me with the details... Just Do IT. I am guilty of this as well. I want to know the answer without all of the details, but then you really dont experience the answer for ourselves, do we?
Am i the only one who feels this way?
I find it hard to want to take the time to learn it the way of DOING. And frustrating when i dont "get it" when i am seemingly trying to "get it". and the latter i become impatient with myself. But where i grew up that is how we learned, by memorizing... and it is very dull, not to experience the wholeness and beauty of learning in a whole 'nother light.
N E wayzzzzz
Hope yall had a blessed Christmas and i love you all
God bless

Jill...how cool to be learning Hebrew!! I have trouble with my own English language...but then again I am Texan.
Yes...I am like you. I want to know the meaning behind things that I learn. When teaching ...even the little kids ...I tried to explain why they needed to learn things and how they would use them to be smarter. Now...if someone would explain some of life like that! BUT, I think maybe the scriptures do that perhaps.
So glad you had a good Christmas with your family!

Clear thinking / Takin every thought captive
Many of the problems we experience in our lives, both individually and as a whole result from a lack of clarity in our thinking about what is real, true, and essential.
He created this world to exhibit order and beauty. Since we are created in the image of God , our thoughts as well as our actions are intended to exhibit order and beauty.
For the fruit of the light is found in all that is good and right and TRUE (Eph 5:9) Therefore watever is TRUE ... think on these things. (Phil 4:8)
God bless
love yall

Dont ever let go Lord.
Thank u Lord for your forgiveness, for you teach us how to forgive and how to love. The beauty of Your forgiveness, I cannot describe with my words alone.
You see every person you created as beautiful. You dont see their flaws, their pasts, their mistakes. You see them as you created them to be. Beautiful. Each soul you cherish and want to bring back to You.
Is there a sin that is too great for our God to forgive? I think not. He is God, what cant He blot out?
Let the children come to Him. Let them come without shame. Let them come and see how beautiful He is.
He is the God of the broken. He is the God of the meek. He is the God of those lowly in spirit. He is the triumphant God of all.
Thank You Lord. For showing me once again how to forgive and let go.
God bless

Here are some thoughts i would like for me to look upon and reflect
BEING CONFORMED to HIS IMAGE IS THE LIFESTYLE THAT WILL BE REWARDED IN ALL ETERNITY. SO COME LORD JESUS, INTO YOUR RESTING PLACE!!!! Our hearts, Your Home. "In the fear of the Lord is strong confidence; and His children shall have a place of refuge." Prov. 14:26
With passionate pursuit, we are seeking first His Kingdom and His righteousness: SUBMITTING TO GOD, RESISTING THE DEVIL, (James 4:7) and PUTTING TO DEATH SELF SERVICE, GIVING OUR LIVES WHOLLY TO THE KING OF GLORY (Rom. 12:1-2). There is such a grace upon us to BECOME all that HE created us to be.
This has been the dream of my heart, just to BECOME the LIVING EPISTLE of JESUS-HOW that looks exactly is different for us all, but WE ARE ONE under the KING. TO LIVE for JESUS, to PRAY, TO SING, to LOVE with a whole heart our King and this our Father's world. As we abide under HIS CANOPY OF LOVE/blessing, we BECOME A REFUGE to the children of the KINGDOM. Knowing I have not done this fully/perfectly, keeps me humbly repentant, arising, with a new committment to daily pursue HIM and fulfill His heart.
God bless
Love

I will pursue You with all my heart
Maker of man my One love
Passion of my heart
delight of the ages
waken my heart to Your love
waken my heart to Your love
Passionate pursuit
Passionate pursuit
passionate pursuit of Your Presence
Then his disciples remembered this prophecy from the Scriptures: "Passion for God's house will consume me."
John 2:17
Jealousy for the honor of God's house. Zeal
Christ not only expressed a zeal for the house of God, the place of religious worship, but for the church and people of God, whose salvation he most earnestly desired, and most zealously pursued: he showed his strong, and affectionate regard to it, by his suretyship engagements for them, by his assumption of their nature, by his ardent desire to accomplish it, and by his voluntary and cheerful submission to death on account of it. And such was his zeal for it, that it eat him up, it inflamed his Spirit and affections, consumed his time and strength, and, at last, his life
Amen, thank u Lord

Oneness
It was His wonderful prayer when He asks for His brethren that "they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them: that they may be one even as we are one. I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one."
Could oneness be closer or more complete?
Shall we not cheerfully welcome the processes, however painful they may be, by which we are to reach it? And shall we not strive eagerly and earnestly to be "laborers together with God" in helping to bring it about? He is the great master Builder, but He wants our co-operation in building up the fabric of our characters, and He exhorts us to take heed how we build. We are all of us at every moment of our lives engaged in this building.
Galations is a wonderful book of the bible.
Conforming to Christ, we are all in this process!
Thank u Lord
Thank u Father
Thank u Holy Spirit
God bless

Today we went to the library. I was looking for a few books about a Russian philosopher who played a key role in the revival in Russia many years ago. Well we didn't have much time and I couldn't find the book i was looking for, wanted to read a bit more before i made my selection and i didn't get to.
But instead of leaving with a book about this philosopher, i left with an imprint on my mind of this beautiful picture and i would like to share with all of you how i seen it through my eyes.
Earlier:
We walk into the library, vahn returns our books and i check out the new non fiction releases. ( my favorite spot ). I pick up a book that i thought would interest me. In earshot i hear a man talking to another man. This man is not shushing his voice into a "library" voice. I was intrigued so i pretend to look at books closer to them.
An older white male (fifty or so) sitting across the table from a thirty something black male. The white male who is assuming the role of the teacher is teaching his student his times tables.
I sensed some embarrassment on the younger males part of answering a seemingly easy math equation, to most of us that is, with a wrong answer. I felt bad for the younger guy and wondered why hadn't this fully grown man ever been taught this? And yet i felt this sense of courage coming within himself to humble himself and ask for help and not be ashamed to go to a public library right in the center table amongst everyone else. Very courageous indeed. I admired him.
Then i look at the teacher, whom could be teaching a classroom of 2nd or 3rd graders, who could be sitting at home with his wife drinking coffee, who could be reading a magazine, who could be doing so much other things of his time BUT instead he was taking his time to teach a grown man... math. His patience with this man, his prying into the man's thoughts about how he came up with that answer, in attempt to show the younger man where his err is so he can better understand the process of the equation. The understanding he showed this younger man, the compassion to humble himself and reach for another.... whom no one else cared to reach for, a lost cause in many peoples eyes. I can see in others stares what they were thinking. Some good, some bad.
I was energized by this beautiful picture of two men. One who humbled himself to help another and another who humbled his pride and asked for help. And the one who is teaching is also learning from his teacher.. the student.
A revival of some sort was breaking out in the library amongst two men.
Brotherhood to the fullest of respect.
That is UNITY.
God bless
♥Jill

Wind of God blow
Spirit of God flow
Cover the earth
With Your glory
Cover the earth
Send Your wind
Breathe Your fire
Spirit burn within
Set Your flame upon my heart
Consume me
I see a picture of an eagle soaring... The breathe of God brings him up to higher altitudes... above the storm clouds, above the noise of the city. The clitter clatter, the honking horns, the hustle and bustle, the telephone ringing. Everything is lovely from up here. Peaceful. The storms do not look so threatening from up here. Just beauty.
When we are in the realm of the Mighty God everything else seems so small. Meaningless to us... but to Him the Lover of all everything on the earth He created it holds so much more meaning than we could ever imagine. We are an expression of Him. The breath of God Himself. He zooms in and looks closely and observes His creation. I can imagine His joy, His sorrow, His compassion whom knows the outcome of all, His anger, His peace...
But alas when looking upon the beauty of His creation and how everything works in unison to keep the earth in its proper order. The eagle (after putting things into our creators perspective) returns to the land for his physical body to gather his nourishment for his body and his family until He calls him home, til his final resting place... His bosom.
If we do not experience sorrow, how will we know joy if its up under our nose?
If we do not experience joy, how will we know what sorrow is?
IF we do not know what is bad, how will we begin to recognise what is good?
One works with the other. And HIs love flows in the middle of it all. Like a sea of love. Which way are the winds blowing you today?
IN the middle when there is not so much activity.. it becomes stagnant waters. The storms come to break through the stagnant waters. Spirit has to move, it is ever transforming us. Like a sea. Waters pushing out what is bad and pushing us toward the good. Pushing against one another.. pushing away from one another. Some of our waters, or whats contained in those waters, have to be pushed out to make room for more of His living water to flow freely throughout.
I take into consideration How do waves develope but by the wind and the shifting of the earth. Everything has movement. His Spirit moves us to one direction or another.. if it be to another it is because there is something that needs to be flushed out. He is shifting the earth for a reason.
Everything has meaning to Him. His thoughts are not our thoughts. His ways are not our ways. We would be content to stay in one spot and be "happy" at that point.. His ways say to me "Come follow me, I have so much more for u to see. There is so much more to this than that My daughter."
Come get to know His ways better and see and taste that the ways of Our Almighty are sweet to taste .
Thank u Lord for showing a glimpse of Your glory and the way you flow through the earth and all its inhabitants.
I trust You.
God bless
