At Step 14. Struggling

Postby fulsworld » Sun Dec 05, 2010 8:35 am

Just finished step 14-onto the next program. Am so glad to have more to study on. Am going thru a divorce and having a tough time. Having trouble being PATIENT in this tribulation. Have no kids, no family, and OH ! Have alot of fear that now I will be never find a man that I could love, who would love me, too. A companion. Am learning the WORD, though, to combat these bad bad thoughts. I'm 52. It would be so easy to give up, but God is telling me to hold on. I want to learn to have the "life in abundance" he died to give me. I don;t want to "just survive" until God takes me home. I want to really live! But I want to do that walking with the Lord the whole way. This is new, and hard, and exciting, too, sometimes. And how to grieve the loss of my husband? And how to leave that love I have for him, even though he cheated and lied and left? Oh, feels like so many "flaming arrows" to come against me. Am trying to use "shield of truth" to fend them off. But feel so weak much of the time. Anyway- its my first "post" here. So there's my sad tale.

Hello

Stand on this verse daily and it will come.

Matthew 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

He has a plan for you!

Hello fulsworld

Welcome to Christianity Oasis .

Any loss of any kind and for whatever reason(s) , is not an easy time to go through , it creates a one kind of a gap or another . But , it is just a period of time and it will pass . Our Lord does not do or "cause" anything without a purpose , He does indeed , as our brother Real mentioned , have a plan , what I struggled with the most was , I simply did not know of His plans , which by the way , were far more better than what I had in mind . By going through the steps , they helped me realize that it was me who was limiting myself with my wants and needs and was expecting our Lord to fill those needs only , all the while I was missing out on the Blessings He had in mind for me . It wasn't until I paid a closer attention to His ways that I had a sort of a V-8 moment and went OH !!

His ways are not like our ways -- Always much , much greater and better than ours .

In Christ , our Lord

Hi fulsworld...God bless you through this. Dont let man define you through this time. Through this time, let Him heal you. Let Him be the one you turn to..let Him be the one who fills you and heals you. In His time, in His will, as you let Him work in and through you, let His will be done in your life. It is better. He may want to prepare and heal you for whoever He has in store for you...and He may be doing the same in that person He has for you...whatever the case may be, Let His will be done. Find your fullfillment in Him. He is, afterall, the only one who can fill every void in our hearts...He knows you heart's desires...seek Him in all things first.

God bless you through this, and ill be praying as well for peace to fill you through this time. I know its not easy, but know He is with you and you are not alone.

in Jesus,
luv momo *Pray*
James 4:10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He shall lift you up.
