I am only 17 and dealing with my parents getting a divorce and there is a fight over who is going to get me. On top of that i am living with my mom cause she has lung cancer and is not going to go into the hospital at all for it. She is on stage three as of a month ago and i am very scaried for what might happen to her. She is the one that has been here for me my whole life. With my mom being sick she is only down to 94 and is over 50 years old and that is making me more scaried cause she is losing more and more everyday. We can not afford to even keep food in our house at all with all the bills and then food. She will not go to a food bank and will not let any of my brothers and i go either. It is now Friday and i have not ate anything since wednesday and that was only a very small amount. I am very confused on what to do cause i really want my mom to be part of my life and for nothing to happen to her. She does not know who jesus is either so she wil not accept a blessing from anyone.

Nicole~

Wow... I hate to hear that you are having to take on such responsibilities for so young a person. You do have to realize the Lord will NOT give you any more than you can handle... and little one ... the Lord knows you can handle even more than you or I can even imagine!

That still doesn't make it easy. :( But it does mean that He knows you are more responsible than most girls your age. Also, know that when He lets us go through things like this... He is right there with YOU... through every second of it!

I don't know why your Mom is not getting help, it could be due to finance's or just that she doesn't want to go through all the trials of the medication. But, if it is because of finance's there are places that will help in many ways. I see your from Nebraska... please send me a PM and I will give you the website address. There are phone numbers to call or you can do email them with all the questions you have.

As far as not being able to eat... it totally breaks my heart that your having to go through this.. and it sounds like you have other kids there too. Your Mom being in the state of mind she is, can't really see how bad this has gotten for all of you. You have to get some kind of help... one way or the other. If by chance your Dad does find out about no food in the house you will be taken from your Mom. I know it sounds like you don't want that... so for that reason... I would tell her that you have to go to the food bank so you can stay with her. Tell her you don't care what people think... that you just want to stay with her no matter what it takes. Hopefully, she will see you HAVE to do this.

I really wish there was something else I could do... but the only thing I know to do is give you all this information then do the thing that the Lord expects us to do for each other... PRAY!!! I will be doing this for You and Your Whole Family.

May the Lord's Blessing come upon all of you and you be able to see the Lord's GRACE and LOVE for all of you... :)

Love... Linda *Pray*

Hello Nicole *hug*

God bless you this day.

Amen to everything HavingFaithagain said. Nicole, you and your brothers need food, as does your mother. I agree, perhaps the illness has your mother not thinking clearly, so it is important that you seek assistance for food, now.

Nicole, maybe you could call one of your friends on the prayer team you are on at your church, or one of the elders or one of the adults that oversee your youth group at your church. My dear, God placed them in your life to help you. It is no different from what you have been doing for others through prayer.

I'm sending up prayers to our Lord. May God's blessed will be done.

God bless and keep you.
Love,
Mack

Nicole,

I can only imagine what it must be like for you at this time. I sure hope that you will rest in the love of Christ. God loves you very much. I know that it must seem that there is no hope for the circumstances you are in right now but there is something God wants for you to know. He is all you will need in the darkness of this time of your life. You will come out on the otherside as long as you are His and rest in who you are in Him. Trust that Jesus sees you right where you are and He has a plan to bring you through it.

All God is asking of you is that you obey Him. Your mom needs to hear that Jesus loves her and wants to heal her soul. If you have never shared the good news with her maybe that is what God wants you to do now. Seek to find the guidance that the Holy Spirit will give you to show the love of Jesus to your mom.

You and your family are in my prayers,

Be blessed,
Dawn Annette

Praying for you

Postby Guest » Sat Nov 27, 2010 2:47 pm

Wow..you do have alot on you right now. My prayers are with you and will continue..I have been in a situation where I only had a few cans of food in my cupboard and I prayed for God to help me to pour his blessings out on me. The next day..I received food baskets, money all kinds of assistance. If you pray to God he will help you! You need to have the faith that he will take care of you. Matthew 6:31-32 says, Therefore take no thought saying what shall we eat? or what shall we drink? or wherewithal shall we be clothed? For your heavenly father knoweth that ye have need of these things. Your mother is very ill so she probably isn't reasoning well. You definately should not be afraid to ask for help, but do pray for God to help you and guide you and he will. If you receive charity you are allowing God to get the glory for providing for you. Let Jesus be your best friend through this situation, talk to him every day and tell him your feelings he will be a friend like no other. I think God is going to use you in a great way..he must have chosen you for this because you are strong. Trust him! My prayers will continue to be with you and your family. Please update us when you can. God Bless you!

Nicole~

So glad to hear about the food. The Lord knew exactly what you needed when you needed it.... as well as He does on your home. I know it is easy for me to just say 'Keep praying for the Lord's Will to be done' when I'm not the one going through what you are going through. But... I DO KNOW a GOD who DOES KNOW EVERYTHING YOUR GOING THROUGH... and listened to everything you are asking for and even things you aren't asking for that you need!

Also... you need to talk to you Pastor or Youth Pastor and ask them to find out for you of where you can find out how to get some financial help. They have all kinds of different programs in different cities for things like this.

I wish I could help you more on this but I don't know a lot about it but have heard of people getting help. I can keep praying for you and your family. Hang in there and don't give up on MIRACLES that God has in store for you and your family.

My prayers are with you and may the Holy Spirit show you things you need to see that will help you to BELIEVE in GOD'S AWESOME POWERS.

Love in Christ,
Linda *Pray*
