Day 2 -

Postby dabs316 » Thu Sep 30, 2010 11:41 am

I am getting from various sources that God wants me to stand strong in faith in Him. To be still and see the power of God. That the battle is His. I am anxious that I will fail in my faith in Him. And will be right back in my problem and miss His salvation and deliverance. I am hesitant to even think or write those words for fear they will come true. But as it is what I am thinking, while trying to hide it from myself, I believe I need to state it. I was wondering if I should write someone from my Bible study to confess my feelings from Day One. However, since my thoughts would be regarding them, I'm feeling that might NOT be a proper thing to do. Maybe they will feel sorry for me and pity me. I don't want that. I only want to have a heart-to-heart relationship out of shared concern and love. As I am feeling anxious about whether I can keep my faith until the Lord delivers me from myself, I need to build my spirit up from His Word that He declares to me:

Deut 31: 6 BE STRONG AND OF GOOD COURAGE. FEAR NOT, NOR BE AFRAID OF THEM (thoughts): FOR THE LORD THY GOD, HE IT IS THAT DOTH GO WITH THEE; HE WILL NOT FAIL THEE, NOR FORSAKE THEE.

Josh 1:9 HAVE I NOT COMMANDED THEE? BE STRONG AND OF GOOD COURAGE; BE NOT AFRAID, NEITHER BE THOU ANXIOUS OR DISMAYED: FOR THE LORD THY GOD IS WITH THEE WHITHERSOEVER THOU GOEST.

2 Chron 20:15 ... THUS SAITH THE LORD UNTO YOU, BE NOT AFRAID NOR DISMAYED BY REASON OF THIS GREAT MULTITUDE (thoughts); FOR THE BATTLE IS NOT YOURS, BUT GOD'S.

Ps. 56: 11 IN GOD I PUT MY TRUST: I WILL NOT BE AFRAID WHAT MAN (or thoughts) CAN DO UNTO ME.

Ps. 112: 7 HE SHALL NOT BE AFRAID OF EVIL TIDINGS: HIS HEART IS FIXED, TRUSTING IN THE LORD.

Isa. 12: 2 BEHOLD, GOD IS MY SALVATION; I WILL TRUST AND NOT BE AFRAID: FOR THE LORD JEHOVAH IS MY STRENGTH AND MY SONG; HE ALSO HAS BECOME MY SALVATION.

Jer. 1:8 BE NOT AFRAID OF THEIR FACES (failure, thoughts, rejection) FOR I AM WITH THEE TO DELIVER THEE, SAITH THE LORD.

Rom. 8:15 FOR YOU DID NOT RECEIVE THE SPIRIT OF BONDAGE AGAIN TO FEAR, BUT YOU RECEIVED THE SPIRIT OF ADOPTION BY WHOM WE CRY OUT, "ABBA, FATHER." THE SPIRIT HIMSELF BEARS WITNESS
WITH OUR SPIRIT THAT WE ARE CHILDREN OF GOD, AND IF CHILDREN, THEN HEIRS - HEIRS OF GOD AND JOINT HEIRS WITH CHRIST, IF INDEED WE SUFFER WITH HIM, THAT WE MAY ALSO BE GLORIFIED TOGETHER.

Ps. 31:24 BE OF GOOD COURAGE, AND HE SHALL STRENGTHEN YOUR HEART, ALL YOU, WHO HOPE IN THE LORD.

Ps. 46:10 BE STILL, AND KNOW THAT I AM GOD, I WILL BE EXALTED AMONG THE NATIONS. I WILL BE EXALTED.

Hi dabs, wanting to be closer to God is something to be treasured...the anxious thoughts you have are weeds...time to get to work on why these weeds are growing and dig them out by the root...and replace them with the Godly hope that God wants you to have.

Take care and God Bless
Do you know my Jesus? Do you know my friend? Have you heard He loves you? If not, I'd like to introduce you.

So good that you have those wonderful verses to meditate on. I have one I love hanging on my wall at work..Isaiah 41:10 So do not fear for I am with you. I will strengthen you and help you. I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. I read it when I feel like I want to just give up.

I pray that God gives you the strength to keep going and do the steps each day. You are gonna make it.

Awesome verses :)

you said...
I am hesitant to even think or write those words for fear they will come true. But as it is what I am thinking, while trying to hide it from myself, I believe I need to state it.

May I suggest you speak what you expect so to off set your fear of this coming true.

As far as sharing what's not appropriate..it's your journal..share away. If someone doesn't want to read such then they have the option not to. :)

God bless and keep you. *hug*
