My letter to God
Dear God,
I know I don't write you often or call you as I should
But to forget you is something I never would or could
For I need Your loving hands to guide me day by day
And I need Your words of wisdom to help me when I pray
For I am only a human being with needs, wants, and fears
And when troubles and trials surround me I often shed many a tear
You're usually the last one I come to though You really should be first
But, when all else fails and my troubles are at their worst
I can always turn to thee and find such sweet relief
just by following this simple belief:
that You're the true and only God who shed His blood for me
and any time I have a problem I can always turn to Thee!
Your child,
Me

Referring to God as "Daddy"
I have a hard time with the concept of God the "Father" or "Papa" or "Daddy".......my earthly father was a drunk, a mean drunk who physically, emotionally, and sexually abused me. When I hear the terms above it brings fear, anger, hurt, and hate to my mind.......I know it shouldn't...but it does.....
