Awww sis...well I know that I love my daughter dearly...and there have been times I've hurt her feelings...not that I intended to...but it has happened...and vice versa...I know she loves me...but at times she has said things that hurt me...but it doesn't mean we don't love one another...it just means we fall short of God's grace....

Praying for you sis *hug* luv ya lots

Before Step #14

Postby Vessel of Honour » Thu Jun 10, 2010 10:40 pm

Typed Tuesday and posted Thursday

Well, it is now late Tuesday night but I was able to go to the chat room for step #13's assignment. It was late last night (Tuesday) but I must say it was a wonderful experience. I was able to share a few thoughts with someone who is not saved YET! I'm looking forward to going back on real soon. *Greet*

On Wednesday, I tried to log on and I saw the s.o.s posting about the financial needs, what a relief that I was able to get on today. Although, I was not able to log on yesterday, I was still able to work on the Holy Spirit Bible Study including the topic about the Trinity. There is something a little confusing about what I read there. I have been taught that our spirit along with the Holy Spirit should govern our soul and not the other way around I'll leave that one on the shelf. I am doing a little better this week emotionally that is. Physically, I'm holding on to God's word with all my might and with All His Help. In fact I didn't go to church today either, cause it is just too tiring all the coughing that is going on with me. Thank You Lord, You Said: "By your stripes, By the stripes that Jesus took for me, I AM healed". That's what I am sticking to. Thank You Lord that You CAN NOT lie.

I did not go to the study on "Are you being called by God yet." I believe that would finish the 14th step. I really would like to continue the steps on the Holy Spirit.

That's it for today. Bye everyone God Bless *Amen*

HOLY SPIRIT StudyWho Am I Step #2

Postby Vessel of Honour » Fri Jun 11, 2010 7:19 pm

I haven't gotten back to the chat room hopefully soon. :)

Good Question Who created the fireball that exploded? And being a monkey's uncle well my thoughts exactly Why aren't monkey's evolving into humans today? Bah_Humbug as Scrooge would say.

I am finding this part a little difficult to understand, the part about our spirit listens to our soul. Shouldn't our spirit be controlling our soul because our soul needs redemption and our spirit is sealed unto the day of redemption?

Who Am I? Right now I am a graphic artist and traditional artist I'd love to work for the Lord in this area, (I've loved art and graphics all my life) but right now I can't. WHY? You might ask because I have at the present only one good eye and that eye has a floater in it that looks as big as a bat. It floats in front of my eye even when I try to do these lessons, read or what not, anything that is kinda close up. So, who am I? I don't know It just makes me want to cry I was thinking about starting a small freelance business even had a name that I thought was from the Lord but I would be blinking my way through projects and taking a very long time to do them because it is very difficult. This is something I thought was from you, for years I've had this desire and of course I would want it for your honor and glory and not just for the money, even though that would help. It seems like I've lost a part of me and I don't know how to get it back.

Hopefully I will be able to receive healing for my eyes, (as well as other parts) I am asking for 20/20 vision in both eyes. Thank You Lord. Thanking you in advance.
*ohyeah*
Oh, well, gotta go for now. *Wave*

Sis the best way I know to explain our spirit and our soul is:

the spirit is what part of us relates to the heavenly things
the soul is what part of us relates to the earthly things

When our soul is effected by the earthly things...it in turn is part of us just like the spirit...and in turn the spirit is effected by the soul...as the soul is a heavenly part of us...does that make any sense?

Sis..I know you said you have a floater in your eye...and you also stated you are an artist....so...maybe work on a small project...something not too difficult...and a small amount at a time....even if it takes you longer than you like to finish the project...just work on it a bit each day...and one day you will find yourself putting the finishing touches on something. Don't give up sis.

Have a wonderful evening.

luv ya

Thanks so much for the encouragment!

Postby Vessel of Honour » Fri Jun 11, 2010 11:32 pm

:) Hi M,

I'm still trying to digest some this spirit and soul thing. I understand what you said,

"the spirit is what part of us relates to the heavenly things
the soul is what part of us relates to the earthly things"

It's the other part that's hard to get. Well, anyway it's on the shelf for now.

Thank you for the encouragement I really needed that. To me one of the most precious things we have is our eyesight. and I love art and designing. At one point I was thinking maybe God was taking it away from me, maybe He doesn't want me doing that anymore. The thought of that just makes me very, very :( . That's all I know how to do. In fact I was going to stop a special tutorial that we've been paying for because I haven't been on it for weeks and that's not right nor fair to hubby. I'm going to go back and work on that some more, Thanks again!

Love ya and *hug* 's and *Kiss* 's

Nope...God doesn't want you to stop sis...He wants to see you push on despite the eye problems...you know I believe if those who can't see can play musical instruments and such...I know you can paint...give it a whirl...just be patient with YOU.

The Holy Spirit Working Thru You Step #3

Postby Vessel of Honour » Mon Jun 14, 2010 11:27 pm

*hug* Hi M,

Thanks for the encouraging words about painting. Today I went back on the tutorials for Illustrator, It's coming along, slowly but surely. This is a computer graphics program and it is very intensive, actually they all are very intense. But I need to beef up on these kind of programs as well. Nevertheless, it is still very challenging because I'm starring at the computer the whole time.

*Computer* Oh, well, Praise the Lord.

HOLY SPIRIT Study The Holy Spirit Working Thru You Step #3

I haven't gotten back to the chat room hopefully soon. Sorry! I couldn't, I've been so tired today. All the coughing and labored breathing makes me tired. Tomorrow, I won't be home much cause I have to take mom to a doctor's appointment. I've been praying that the weather would not be humid Thank You Lord! so far the report says lower humidity.

I never really thought about the difference between the Holy Spirit working through me app-posed to in me. I really would like the Holy Spirit to work through me, for God's honor and glory, even though I have my issues. I know He needs to work in me as well.

FROM FOOLS TO TOOLS sounds like a good title for a sermon! rofl

This sounds easier said than done. Well it's comforting that some of the great men in the Bible had difficulty with reservations. And the Lord still used them like: Moses, Giedeon, King Saul, hiding behind the baggage another good sermon title. I know at times I've found myself among the baggage, OUCH! That happens a lot. Usually, I don't move out in the promptings of the Holy Spirit because I don't want to make a mistake. I want to be sure that it is the Lord speaking and not myself. Or worse, and I'm embarrassed about this one: I get afraid of rejection and worry too much about what people will think, and say of me. I know that I have to get over it. Help, Lord Help, I really need help in this area. Especially when it comes to witnessing. The hardest time I have is when I kinda know someone like in a work situation. On my last job everyone knew I'm a Christian. I tried to let my life shine more than my light. So, I'm confessing my faults that's a biggie.

Yes, Holy Spirit I Need You! *help*

I'm Thanking the Lord for all my Healing, for everything I need to be healed in, spiritually, physically, emotionally and even financially. Also thanking the Lord hubby's been nice lately.

I hope to come back tomorrow in the evening.
Until then have a wonderful time in the Lord, and the Lord *BlessYou* and your daughter!

Hi my precious sister...wooohoo God is so very good. I see a smile in your shared words. And your starting to use the programs...just remember slow and steady and you will succeed...don't get frustrated...be patient...work a bit and then take a break...I'm so excited for you.

Holy Spirit...our comforter...I was reading John 6 this morning...Jesus talking to the disciples about sending the comforter...and what the comforter would be able to do for them.....it's so amazing because at the time they did not understand...but we have the benefit of knowing Him from the day of our rebirth...He resides in us...oh we are so very blessed.

You have a delightful day too my sister.

luv ya bunches

The Temple of the Holy Spirit

Postby Vessel of Honour » Tue Jun 15, 2010 11:48 pm

Typed Tuesday and Posted Tuesday

*angelbounce* Hi M,

How are you today? Believing that all is well. I had a very busy day with mom. She had a yearly check up and she is fine Praise the Lord. It was easier today because the humidity was low as I hoped. I don't want to imagine what it would have been like if it were to be humid. Tomorrow I don't have to go anywhere so I will be doing more of the tutorials. Taking one day at a time. Hubby's been good. Praise the Lord,
Praise the Lord and Praise the Lord some more. *PraiseGod*

HOLY SPIRIT Study The Temple of the Holy Spirit Step #4

Still haven't gotten back to the chat room hopefully soon, maybe tomorrow. One of the most challenging things I deal with spiritually is sitting still. I get so ant-see, or my mind drifts, but I'm going to work on it by the grace of God. *ThumbsUp*

I like the way the study put it, "You should accept your free gift of salvation and the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Always have compassion and love for others, lest your gifts bear no fruit." Gotta have fruit! *Strawberry* *Apple*
*cake* Gotta have cake sometimes too! rofl

Boy! I was surprised to see all those scripture references. I never realized that there where so many in the Old Testament, concerning the Holy Spirit, WOW! There is almost the whole Bible there. Cool Stuff!

Well, I'm going to go now, it's getting pretty late
Have a Good *sleep2*
and even a better Tomorrow! *Amen2*

And I continue to smile...keep up that armor of the Lord sis...and when the enemy comes knocking again...he won't be able to steal the joy I see within you now. I feel peace in your words sis...and I see God blessing you as well. You deserve this.

I am doing great. We start revival at my church tonight. I'm so excited.

Have a wonderful day sis.
