Hello,

I found this site and have been on here only a few hours and am so very happy! This is my journal entry( am doing the counseling).

I cannot list all that I do wrong, I am not a "bad" person but I am not perfect. I know I do not handle life the way God wants me to.

I am here b/c life has gotten to be so frustrating! I am in a situation where I have to live w/ my parents and I have 2 children. My son, he is 8 has had
anger/anxiety issues since he was 4 maybe younger. I have went through counseling with him and we have an appointment for psychiatric evaluation in July. I will spare all the details but we need prayer! My parents do not respect me, well any of us, my son is a hitter, spanking only makes him angry, they do not know how to handle him. He gets in trouble with them sometimes for just being a kid, HONESTLY! Living with them makes matters worse, but I have to at the moment. Please do not think I am bad mouthing my mother and step father b/c they have been good to me, they just like to be in control and make the already hard situations harder.

I have turned everywhere for answers except for to God and I know better. I myself have dealt with( and still do) anxieties. Things are just hard right now, have been for a few years and I have tried to handle things on my own. Please keep me and my family in your prayers!

Welcome aboard the Oasis , glad to have you with us here .

You know , no one gets here by mistake , just like going to the doctor's office , no one gets there unless something bothering them right ?
Well I'd like to tell you you are in the right place , In a Spiritual Hospital .

Couple of things you mentioned in your post that basically gives an idea of you writing your own solution(s) in them . Surprized ? Don't be , that is exactly why our Lord suggested that we talk to one another , by so doing , IN HIS NAME , He will instantly answer us .

Hmm , needless to ask if they worked or not huh ? How about we try Some-ONE else's WAY and see what happens ? Shall we ? .. That is exactly what the steps are there for mrh , to help us through these times of trials , by getting to know what His plan is for us in all of this.

There will be others coming along , to help you out as well , that's what we do here , Iron sharpens Iron . So hang in there and keep on moving forward in Him and WITH HIM .

I know it's not easy living with your parents...as I've had to live with mine before too. I think you are now in the right place...seeking help in handling life. God is the one who has the answers and He truly does want to help.

Welcome to Oasis, nice to meet you.

I can relate to your story and have been there were you are. It is very difficult to raise children in the same household with your parents because they have a hard time letting you take the reigns of raising your children, although I am quite positive they mean well and want the very best for your children. I would sit them down and let them know how you feel in a loving way and come to a plan of action of the role playing in parenting. I know how stressful it is especially when you feel like you are losing all the control of your life including having to move back in with mom and dad. It is a very humbling experience.

Look toward the solution and not the problem, if you look at the solution the solution gets bigger and vice versa for the problem.

Seek and you will find.
