DAY 2 Stepping Stones for me
Wow, I have a lot of wedding to do. I realize that YES I hold a lot in me from what others have said or done to me, or from the outside world. One of the things that always seems to pop into my head (Garden) when I am down is "Your sick in the head" my mom said this to me a lot when I was around 12 years old. I have allowed others to dictate me and my happiness. I once (5 years ago) was going to paint a big abstract painting, I had always wanted to paint, but when I told my husband of this plan he said to me "you don't know how to paint" and gave a little giggle. He is a sweet man and I love him, it was me that allowed myself to never pick up a paint brush, to never experience that desire inside me. Why do I let others dictate me and my happiness and desires?? I also know that I have tried so many times to pluck these weeds and I have at times thought they were gone, only to find them back again at my lowest moments. I am going to focus on my goal, surround myself with Godly music, poems, Bible reading, prayer. I ask for prayer as "life" always seems to get in my way and take me away from my goals and from God. Boy, I do have a lot of work ahead of me.

momato7hearts, I want you to know that the work will be well worth it. Sometimes we absorb so much from what others say about us that we allow ourselves to try and be what they describe...but in reality deep inside God sees who we really are...and He wants us to be the new creation He has made us to be. If you want to be a painter sis...then step out and try it...you can't ever be something without trying it...sort of like a ballerina...they don't just say I'm gonna dance...they begin slowly...watching and trying and doing what they are instructed to do...and then one day they become a ballerina...and the same goes for you...you can be anything you want to be...if you will only step out and trust God to be your guide in all things.
Work on pulling those weeds sis...you can do this.
Take care and God Bless

Do you know my Jesus? Do you know my friend? Have you heard He loves you? If not, I'd like to introduce you.

yep, once we see that neither the world, nor the people in it defines who we are..but God, our creator does, we begin to see things differently. The biggest part of this struggle is taking those thoughts captive and replacing them with what God says..and what He has done for us..and wants to do through us. Be still sis, in His presence...and hear what He would say...rather than what the world says to you.
In Jesus,
love momo

Well the end of my day 2 turned out ok, BUT there for a time the day was horrible, I just wanted to pack up my lil family and leave, somewhere deserted and be all alone where there are no other people. My son had a hard time today, we are desperately trying to get his little boy home for my other son's wedding, this on NO money and the mom wont help with travel at all. Why do I allow other peoples happiness to effect mine, why does it, Should I be happy if one of my children are not happy???? Pretty confused, felt very ALONE this afternoon, VERY hopeless. I am looking forward to day 3 and see what that brings.

Hey momato7hearts, it's so difficult to watch our children hurting...and we truly want to find a way to help them...but as we know God has a reason for everything...and your son has to go through this sis...just as you have to go through trials....it's not because God wants to punish us...but because God wants to have the glory from all our trials. Yes it's ok to have joy when your family is hurting...because that's what God wants...He wants us to be joyful in all things...knowing that He is in control of all things at all times.
Today is a new day sis...and God's mercies are new each morning...Make today a great day with God.
luv ya
