Hi,
Well, I am not sure what to say, because well, I am still battling with so many things in my life!!! Forgive the negativity, but I am really trying to get over "Negativity" as well!!!

You know, one thing I have never learned to do is, "Time Management". Hence the problems with studying, sorting out my life etc.I am just so sick of disappointing, hurting everyone as well as myself.

I am going back to work tomorrow and I am a bit scared.

I can also testify that God is still dealing with me, as He has provided through people at work, which I all always had issues with, to sponsor me to go to a meeting of Angus Bachan, of the Movie "Faith Like Potatoes". He hold a "Mighty Men Conference" and this year is his last, as he is retiring due to health issues. I am excited and scared as I was always afraid of people! I still am shy and imagine being in one place with between 400 and 600 thousand men!!!!!!

And I need to Give God the Glory, I focused on all the bad the last couple of days, but God has truly helped me. I moved out in June 2009 from my wife's parents and then I went to this one church, and the Pastor actually came to see me at my flat. Well, on 17 November God delivered me from many things including Pornography and I praise Him for that. He took away my fear of man and gave me a boldness that is hard to describe. I could not stop talking of what God did for me on the busses I took to and from work and I bubbled for weeks on end, and God actually saved a girl and her baby at work, who went into pre-mature labour and God used me to pray for her, and I give God all the glory!!!!

But then everything came crushing down around me. Everything started going wrong, in every area in my life!!!! I don't have real friends, and I don't have family. I need a better paying job, but I don't have any qualifications, I have everything against me. All everyone told me is that God will not tempt me above what I can take, How much more must I take????

Well that is me for today!!! God is a good God and I so want to praise Him in everything I do, and be what He want me to be!!!

aviljoen...it seems like there is so much going on in your life....but God knows it all, let Him sort it out for you, you might say, easier said than done.... I too, as has many here been through similar, if not a lot of the same, so be encouraged, you will come through this.
but..the lord will sort it all out how He wants to, we are inclined to want to get it all sorted out NOW

faith like potatoes is an awesome movie.... great man of faith..
you love the Lord..I can see that...so don't try and work out everything...let the Holy Spirit come alongside and help you thru, step by step...

It seems like everything is going wrong...and I'm not going to to lie to you..that is scary...but when you know why, then its something that can be dealt with my friend....you have stepped out and talked about the Lord...prayed for folk...do you think that the enemy is going to like that?


so he will try to pile stuff onto your mind
to try and discourage you..but you are here where there is plenty of encouragement..
relax and let God take the burden from you...He is better at dealing with stuff than us...

Hello my friend...sounds like you have some weeds to pull in your mind. Those negative thoughts are weeds...and you need to work on removing them one at a time and replacing them with seeds of good fruit...or good thoughts You can do this.

Day 5 is on the Miracle Grow Charts. Make sure to use these charts and to make some goals that will help you to keep your focus on God...even through the trying times. You can do this. It is worth the time and energy...so start with some small goals and add as you go.

God is very good, and He loves you very much. He does want good things for you...but that means you have to allow Him to help you...so begin by working on removing the negative and replacing with God. Then will you see Hope and joy in all things

Keep working through the steps.

One of the hardest things to do is to take all thoughts captive..as the Lord describes in the word..but, its not impossible. He is there to help you. Take all those thoughts..the negative ones..and give them to the Lord. They are from the enemy..the more a threat you are to the enemy's plan, the more he will try to throw at you. the battle is in the mind, bro..in our thoughts. Changing the way we talk to ourselves is a daily thing. Laying aside the negative thoughts and replacing them with what God says is the way to allow the Holy Spirit to renew your mind..and your spirit.

heard a pastor one day say..if we walked around with a billboard on our foreheads that showed everyone every thought we had, we would learn quickly how to change our thoughts. ...so true. its not easy, bro, but through Christ and His word and prayer and focusing on the fact that even though we dont always understand whats happening, God does..and through focusing on Him and what He says, those negative thoughts and imaginations are cast down. He is working in those situations.

praying for ya, bro. Keep on keeping on. He's got ya in this, too. He knows where ya are.

Day 5 is all about idenitfying the problems. It looks like you did that just fine. Seeing those problems for what they really are (weeds) that's the hard part. We find ourselves identifying with the struggles we are facing as if they define us. They don't. You are absolutely right that the Lord will not test us beyond what we are able, but that does not stop us from doing it.
