Well, I chose to join this site as I will explore all options to get to the truth, to grow, to learn, to get to the place where God want me to be. I do not know where that is as yet, but I am fully to prepare to go there, if I can but find the path.
I am a born again child of God, but I have never grown past bottle feeding. I am ashamed to say this, but it is the truth. I need to grow, I do not get that "Food" anywhere else. I need to have a constant relationship with my God and creator. I want to have every promise Jesus gave His disciples while he was on earth, to manifest in and through every area of my life. Not for the glory of man, but for God to be Glorified in and through my life.
I do not know exactly how to grow, I do not have real friends, only a lady on Facebook that has been encouraging me for the last 9 months. But I want to grow, mean something in the Kingdom of God. I want to know God intimately.
I want to live for my God!!!

aviljoen, welcome to oasis, i hear your hearts cry to get close to the lord and live a life for Him, he wants you to do that, because he is looking at you as His daughter, so he is drawing you to Himself.
you are on the "right" path to grow past the bottle feeding stage..you have made a life change by sharing your heart, and he is extending His hand to you and saying..come walk with me...he sees your heart and the desires you have for Him.

you are on an upward journey now....sure there are valleys, and winds..but there is plenty of the love and Grace of God for you to run into..


there are many here willing to help and encourage you my dear...so you will grow in Him..you are not here by your choice..... but our Father knows that you will loved and helped here...

To hear of someone seeking a closer relationship with God puts a smile on my face.

He says to seek and yea shall find. I do believe that is true. He is a good and loving father who will give to his children the desires of their hearts as long as they are with in his will and you are just that.

I can't wait to see where he takes you.

Hey aviljoen, Welcome to the Oasis. We are so very delighted to have you here with us.

The counseling steps are just what you need at this time, to help you find that which you seek most...a closer friendship with Jesus. I want you to know I don't have a lot of friends that aren't online...but I've made some of the best ones. Sounds like you have made a good one online as well. Sometimes God provides us what we need in ways we don't expect...so be sure to look around and notice how He is moving in your life.

Jesus loves you very much...and He wants to get to know all about you. He wants to be your best friend...I must say He is the best friend that anyone could ever have or need.
