Each night when I open my computer and head out to the Oasis, I look forward to what has been posted on the Message Board. Recently there has not been anything for me to read there (except the Global Announcements). Surely someone has something to share. I will share that I had 2 blessings today (more, but I will only mention 2). First, my son called and asked me to keep his little girl for a couple of hours while he was away from home. What a joy that was.

When I returned home, I tried ONE MORE time to see what was wrong with my printer. Had decided I would have to invest in a new one. Been praying for the Lord to show me where the funds would come from for that purchase. Well, He answered in a method I had not expected. This will show just how technology iliterate I am....there was an electrical cord that was not making proper connection. Simple task to correct. I am sooooo happy.

Anyone else receive a blessing today? If so, want to share? Thanks for reading this.

Hey that is so cool sassy! :)
Great post too btw.

The sun has been shining for hours every day. :) To me that is such a wonderful treat. I love the sunlight. I make a point to at least step out into it, close my eyes and absorb some of it's golden rays.

I thought someone was using me as a door mat the other day. I decided to share with them how I felt and it ended on a positive note for both her and I. :)

I get to watch a baby on Wednesdays. :) Can't wait. He's so cute and sweet. It's going to be so much fun. It's going to be hard not to spoil him rotten. *BigGrin*

The weather has warmed up so we tapped trees to begin the maple syrup process. I love being in the woods and hearing the sap go ting ting ting into the metal buckets. :)

God is good. :)

A blessing...I had the day off work today...so I played...haven't done that in awhile...my daughter was in school...and I had the day to myself...so just went and did some fun things...was nice to have some me time with Him.

My lilies are finally beginning to bloom...I was beginning to wonder if I had lost them...but noticed a couple of blooms on them...so thank God I will have flowers on my lilies :)

Take care and God Bless you sassy

Mrs. Timothy has been having headaches each time after wearing her glasses, for the past few months. She was afraid to have her eyes checked for fear of worsening vision.

Doctor says, "NOPE! Your prescription is too strong for your eyes."
Her eyes are stronger.

Since having been baptized last November, Tammy, has lost considerable weight, found joy and hope, understands His Word better and clearer, recognizes when Abba is speaking to her, no longer gets depression, attends more church related activities..., and has stronger vision.

Thank you, Jesus.

cool thread, Sassy3. :)

I was whining a little bit in my head today about how much I have to do and things went wrong at work and I was soooo tired.

Then thought about some certain friends who have no place to call home, no permanent place to rest their head, and barely any income. Yet they brave the world teaching others about Christ.

Thought of another new friend who does have a home, but no job, no car, has a low income from unemployment, and has isolated himself. He gave up. He has alienated himself from friends and family.

I am blessed with a great job, comfortable home, reliable transportation, friends, family, and plenty of food on the table.

God is good and I thank Him.
My resolution for today, next month, and years to come is to be further from the world and closer to the Word.

Good

Very good post Flutey.
There are a few members here that have no home yet are still faithful.
Their burden is my burden.
They are constantly on my mind and heart.
I had one call me from a mission so excited that he was used of God for salvation and baptism that day. He was rejoicing, yet homeless.
Pray for the ones who are in this situation and put their trust in Him.
You know.......... We here at Oasis are sometimes the only true friends people have out there. I have found this to be true.

Luv ya

wow it's amazing wat u see when the blinders are taken off. Blessings abound, sometimes i think we look in the wrong places for blessings limiting God due to our view and how we think it should turn out. My blessing for the day was simply in knowing that i was loved. The world abounds in problems and while i would be lying if i said they didn't weigh heavy on my heart sometimes, God is ALWAYS there. And today, love surrounded me in the midst of all the commotion of the world. Such a cool thread!!!!!

A new day so time for seeing another blessing. I saw this posting and realized how uplifting it was to see others typing about their blessings so i decided to share a blessing i have received today.

Today i was blessed by God showing me a beautiful sunshiny day and buds starting to appear on shrubs, and jonquils blooming in the front yard, it reminded me that spring is a time for renewal. We are still sorta in the winter season technically, then i got to thinking about the varying seasons: winter spring summer and fall and how they correlate to us.

spring is renewal, like renewal of spirt and mind
summer is hot, like being on fire for the Lord and doing His work
fall reminded me of how we fall
winter reminded me of hibernation, a time of resting in God perhaps much like i usually do after a fall. then we go back on to spring and begin again.

Today's blessing was seeing God's hand in everything around me!
