day one

Postby Ann_is_Alive » Tue Feb 23, 2010 9:54 pm

OK, I completed day one of the counseling steps.

I was not in a very good place for a long time.

I needed to take a step back and look at things from a new perspective and with a little nudging from you guys here and God, I am starting - in a way - all over again.

I have nothing to lose and everything to gain. I need to be gentle with myself, give myself a break, forgive myself and stop listening to the lies.

I need to start breaking down the wall, one brick at a time.

OK I completed day 2 of the counseling steps.

I am actually going to say YEA!!!! because, although, I have done day 2 several times before, I am looking at day 2 from a different perspective.

I used to think.........

First, I never gave much thought to the enemy planting seeds and that I was in the middle of spiritual warfare. I always thought I was the bad seed.

Second, I don't have patience. I wanted results now and could not understand why God would do it any slower.

I now realize......

First, I actually took the time, to look at the information on spiritual warfare - I sorta knew what it was, but not really. And I get it now. Its a battle that must be fought.

Second, why am I in such a hurry? I have to trust - the trust thing is a whole other issue, but working on it - that God actually knows what He is doing!

Third, you know what? I do not mind hard work and I used to have a garden and was diligent in pulling weeds.

Finally, I have always liked field trips when I was in school and am looking forward to the ones coming.

I will keep you updated on day 3.

Praise God!

Turning the negatives into positives...pulling out the weeds replacing them with seeds of beauty planted by the Lord....you are moving along already and just day 2....I can't wait to see the rest of this journey God is taking you on...He has something exciting and wonderful planned just for you. Much needed healing is headed your way sis.

Keep up the great work...fight the good fight...we can't avoid the battle so best to fight to win.

luv ya sis

*run*

You are doing so great!

Your words are an encouragement to those who are beginning counseling as well as to those who have gone through it. Like a little refresher course in mypsbox wording. :)

God bless and keep you sister.

hi my,
I don't usually come into this site, so please forgive me for that, but after talking to you yesterday, I had to stop in and add my encouragement.
You sound like you are on the right path to freedom now.
FREEDOM!!

Don't allow those lies to come back in. That enemy can be sneaky but now you know you can stand up to them. Just tell them to leave you in Jesus's name.
Thank you Jesus
