Bacc
Bac,
Well written but I have to disagree in a few areas.
First of all, there are some who where born with a chemical imbalance and their thinking, behavior, and life from the beginning where and are abnormal.
We have mental hospitals for some, we have AA for some.
God works through many different ways and yes we are to submit. But............ how are the ones suppose to be submissive if they know no different and have not the capacity to understand without the proper medication or maybe a mentor to help them understand?
We have many members here that have been and still are faithful; who came to know, came to believe, and learned "HOW" through taking the 12 steps or by being given the proper medication.
Were not all born with the same genes or IQ's.
We not only go to Church to worship our Lord, but we also go to fellowship and learn from each other
Christian growth is a step by step process in which we grow daily sometimes stepping ahead a while then taking a step back.
I'm simply stating that there have been millions to overcome their "sin" by going through 12 step programs. Now........ Some become Christians and some do not
But we are all members of one body who are not the same. The hand cannot do what the leg does and so forth.
And will power is out of the question. Only God can do for us what we can't do for ourselves. BUT, we have to make a decision to admit we are wrong and that we need help. Our help comes from God in many ways for all of us.
Sunday School is a step by step program in which people learn how to live and learn of God.
The Christian walk is a step by step process that we can move forward and when we fall or fail; it is called backsliding.
Some simple do not have the capacity to read and understand the Bible.
They to be taught sometimes by the simplest method there is.
I know that people didn't choose to be a diabetic, but they are. Some didn't choose to be mental retarded but they are. Some did't choose to be an addictive person but they are.
I am in agreement that we have to submit to God and maybe He has given some of us a different way in doing so.
He has given some us us doctors.
He has given some of us people who has "been there" to help us overcome.
Life is learning process consisting of steps each day. I do not know anyone who does not fall by the wayside some time in their life while taking these "steps"
Yes.......... Some can and are completely healed and i do not deny the Power of my Creator. But some of us have to take a simple approach to getting better whatever that may be. I can say I am grateful for alot of programs out there in which I've seen so many become wholesome and constructive people. We just have to want to and be willing to do what it takes.
I guess I'm trying to say if you have never had to experience walking with one leg through life you simply do not understand what it is like.
The 14 day program offered here is just a starter for some hurting soul who want a better life and is hurting.
Some of us are not scholars and we reach out for help. God works in many ways and gives us many different ways of doing this.
Luv Ya brother

I didn't mean for you to delete your post as I thought people should see both sides. My disagreement was out of Love and I wanted to state my side as in my 25 years of experience. That's all.
I actually wished I felt as you did and surely respect your input for sure.
I just wanted to add to what you had said.
I pray that my feed back has not caused hard feelings as I KNOW we are both His children.
Love ya Bro.

I dunno about anyone else, but I enjoyed the topic and varying views within this thread.
Very cool how we can all be diverse in ideology, yet share in a manner where others can partake of our thoughts and views and discern for themselves what they believe, based on said shared thoughts and Biblical research.
Thank both of you for sharing on this very thought provoking topic.
Luv ya both
