I can't say a whole lot more than what's already been shared, except when I read what you wrote, I'm shaking my head going, I know what you mean.

I've spent many years trying to earn Gods love and forgiveness.

I've spent many years wondering why he let things happen and why he let me be born.

Super, bro, Gods love is real. I didn't understand it for a long time. And I still don't completely.

He thinks you're worth it. I think you're worth it.
I love seeing you hang around. You said I wouldn't after a few days, but I still do. I care about you.

Glad to see you decide to go through these steps .

It is only obvious to me , although you may not "like" the way you're seeing yourself at the moment , but the fact that you have decided to go through the steps is enough proof , (for me at least) that you are also trying to change all that (the way you're thinking that is) for you know you are more than what you think .

I have a couple of questions to ask of you - Just to settle an argument and a bet ! -

1) Let us just suppose , I have this good for nothing , beat up truck , the only thing that it is good for is to make a dump run with in it once a week , and it is so ugly that I don't even want to be caught dead in it .
Now how much sense would I be making if I were ... say , spend a thousand dollars on it and buy some spankin new mags and tires for it , or install some fancy leather bucket seats in it ?

2) Let us just say , you happened to be a master , one of a kind potter (humor me ok ?) , and I was to come to you with a chunk of clay and ask you to make something for me out of it for me to give to someone that would make them happy , for it is the only thing I got to give . What would you make me ? (besides a motorcycle and a beat up truck that is ! coz I already got those , and I ain't givin'em to nobody !)

Could you please answer thos questions for me ? I'll split my winnings with ya .

hi semp, bro. i too, am so glad you are sharing here. there are so many who have felt the way you do..im one of em. there is hope, my friend, and taking these steps is the first in finding it. i see the spark of hope in you even if you dont right now. You arent what you think you are. You are so much more than you think you are in His eyes and in your brothers' and sisters' eyes. you arent here by mistake. The Lord wants to show you the truth now.

He has always had a plan for your life. He knew you before He created you. He called you then. Even then, you were His. This is a very ugly sinful world and we are all given a will to choose what we will do..those who hurt you were being used by the enemy of your soul to do so...and yes, God was there..and He knew. He also knew where you would be today and will use what has been done in your life to give you true life..and to give someone else who has walked in your shoes hope. Just as He saw what was happening to that young boy, He also saw who was doing it. He is a just God..and what was done is between that person and Him. Let Him heal you and show you what His plan for your life is.

with you every step of the way in this, bro. not goin anywhere till the Lord wills it.

That is exactly what these steps are all about brother , their purpose is to get your perspective on things in their proper place .

Start doing something useful. Humm... think about it semper, is there something that you wish someone had helped you with growing up?
Is there any kind of outreach that appeals to you?
God loves the orphans and widows.
Not your thing? How about animal rescue?
Maybe talking to retired bikers who can no longer ride...

Reading everyone's comment to what Semper is saying makes me question a lot about myself because I undestand how he is feeling and what he's feeling. There are days when I refuse t get out of bed and go to class because I don't know what the peple at school are gonna say about me. The quote" What other people think about u is none of your business" is ridiculous. Of course, it is MY business. They're talking bad about me.

This notion sends me into a whirlwind of self-hatred and worthlessness and, I try desperately to make them like me, even if it means dressing provocatively, which I absolutely disgust! I'm not sure why I subject myself to this torture, because I don't deserve any of it.

Making people like me is a 24-hour job that I am NOT getting paid well to do.

Society often places pressures on people...and being the type myself who likes to please people...it can be very overwhelming....but as I'm learning over time...it's not about pleasing all the people...it's about pleasing God. People come and go in life but God will always be there...so we need to do things that we know will bring glory to Him.

normaly i wuntn respond ta sumtn like at, but ill make n exception..... changin urself for othars is the worst thang u cin do.... whether they like u ur not is irrelevant, its what HE thanks. Their opinions will fade away, fer some they cin change by the day, hour.... y change urself ta make sum1 happy who more than likely is going thru the same thang u r? find out who YOU r, insteada worryin bout what othars thank, the same ppl at aftar u graduate, ull proly nevar c agin, evar.
