Using Children to gain fame
Folks, what a time we live in!
For those who look at the news regular, ull be familiar with the recent story of the family who claimed their 6yr old son was in a runaway air balloon and had law enforcement , the media, and probably tons of people focused on them till it was revealed the child was never in the balloon to start with.
As the days progressed, it started to appear that the entire thing was a hoax, especially when the child happened to blurt out that it was done for a show, during a tv interview. Apparently the family was trying to get a reality show of their own.
Then there is the Jon and Kate Plus 8 circus. Toddlers and Tiaras, which is a reality show about kiddie beauty pagents. And prob a lot more of this type that im not familiar with.
So my question is, what do you folks think about all of this and the way it appears that parents are using their children to gain fame and money?
Granted its not a new thing, but rather a new way of exploitation. Tho some may argue that the children benefit in the long run due to monies earned etc.
So sound off on this very very odd trend that is taking place now. Would love to hear your opinions.
Blessings

oh yes this is not new, all these kid stars end up having to sue their parents for emancipation or financial emancipation
the parents take it so far as to that later the kids are broke.
now they're putting in new laws(or maybe they're not new)
but the money has to remain in an account until the kid turns 18, and then the child can decide what they do with the money.
i do know the parents can still get money out of the kids, if they are the managers or whatever.
but i don't agree totally on them doing that to their kids, the kids should be able to decide what they want to do, not be forced on camera because their parents agree'd to do a show
just my opinion
