So as some of you know, I love to write music...music is my passion..and i write to God...

Most of what I write is about teen struggles and how God can help them by using others to guide them.

Most of my inspiration comes from other music..Christian and secular.
It is the mood and purpose of a song that drives me to write. I started writing in about 7th grade when my dance teacher told me that in order to stay in her class, i had to be less than 100 pounds...i was 5' 3 then.

I got really low self esteem and just started writing poetry..the poetry didnt mean much so i added verses and a chorus and bridge..soon i created a tune...i have no music for them yet but hopefully i will soon.

Many reasons i kept writing is because i knew it filled an empty space in my life....i started listening to more and more Christian music and realized...I NEED GOD...so now i write for God..

You guys have kept me going. I wanted to quit writing when my mom told me to stop, but i didnt. She ripped up some of my work, as did my siblings, but i still kept writing....

MOST OF ALL, GOD gives me inspiration....if it werent for HIM i wouldnt even be here...honestly...

I give God all the credit.

POEM

1. I AM GODS CREATION

You never thought anyone would ever care

It seemed when you weren't looking they'd just stare

You know you look fine the way you are

You know that God is never far

You are God's creation and always were

It just took a long time for you to learn

Your'e the same person but you are different now

You were once confused and didn't know how

SOmething like you could ever be wanted

You know things you didn't know before

It is okay to you now you are a believer

You have reached your goal you are an achiever

You've got to help and save the nation

At least you know you are God's creation

2. WHAT ARE FRIENDS FOR?

They help you out when needed

Not making you feel cheated

No more worries I am free

It's how I feel when they are with me

They don't join in when people tease

Making my heart feel at ease

They tell me I can achieve anything

Even when it is time to sing

My troubles and worries disappear

When I know that they are near

I never knew my friends could creep

Into my dreams when I'm asleep

I never ever want to be alone

I don't want my friends to be gone

They never make you feel the least bit bored

After all, what are friends for?

3. CHRIST LIVES IN ME

He knocked on my door and I let Him in

Not wanting Sating back with all his sin

He lives in me and promises He will never leave

And all of these things I will always believe

His tearstreaked eyes when we fall short

He is my all and will always be my comfort

Never leaving me He is always going to be there

Satan never could and never will compare

When I found HIm I have to admit I became free

Having Him in my heart shows He has no boundary

Up to Heaven He did indeed descend

We don't know how far His love for us extends

When I die I know I'll be with the One I know

The greatest love that noone else can show

He sees that the world is just falling apart

But helping others know Him is just a great start

I know that Jesus is always here beside me

He'll never leave us as we can see

His friendship with me noone can unweave

He is the One that to me, will never lie or decieve

4. SINKING

The pain is so bad I can hardly stand

Now maybe I could feel alright

And somehow You could lead me there

I really wish that I could see Your might

I wanna know that You are here

Just so that I can see

What You will do for me

Cause right now I am sinking

I praise You I know You're there

I seek You, You see my hurt

I've found a true joy and its found in You

To praise You is what I do best

To love and adore You

You put me to the test

But I'm no longer sinking

(ending chorus)

And I can feel Your power

I can finally see Your face

I stand on this strong tower

Being with You is my place

Since I am not sinking

these are beautiful. Keep on keeping on sis. He is with you always. He will touch many through you. Keep the faith. Keep singing to Him. He loves you so very much.

amen jenn ... I soo agree with mom what AWEsome talents and gifts the Lord bestows upon yaaaaaa ... *harp*

Ever thought of creating a journal for teens that they can read and journal in too as they read ur sharings and testamnies and songs and poems etc...

as you may one day too as you said put music to them Praisen God and giving Him thanks for you to dooooo...

means alot to see the youth being so touched and using what the Lord has given you wanting to pass that on and bless ur peers ...
