"Jesus loves you' i heard him say
My friend was a christian, but i turned him away
Thinking 'i have time i have many more days'
I went to bed but i did not wake
instead i found myself at a pearly gate
an angel with a book searched for my name
and i realised too late, christianity was no game
i hoped and i hoped, hoping in vain
that somehow my name would appear on the page
The angel closed the book and said "its not there"
I felt confused, my body shook with fear
as manaical laughter filled the air
"please" i pleaded "this isn't fair!"
"i didn't know" "give me one more chance"
"please don't let this be my last"
the angel shook her head
"im sorry but your dead
i'm afraid there's no heaven for you
The laughter of the devil rang in my ear
i was engulfed by the flames my lungs burned for air
I watched my friend walk up to the gate
the angel soon found his name on the page
written in blood, and signed with a j
then Jesus came down and wiped my friends tears
just one look at him washed away my fears
there were holes in his hands and stripes on his back
he smiled at ,me and i tried to smile back
but i was swallowed by flames and when i looked up he was gone
and suddenly everything felt so wrong
if only if only i'd known him before
i'd had many chances but my ego was sore
the fire was strong these flames never stopped,
but over in heaven Jesus paid the admission cost
i woke with a scream
it was only a dream
i bent my head to pray
"Jesus i know you're the only way"
and i slept in peace knowing my name had been signed with a J
Jesus smile "i've been waiting for you to see the truth"
"come with me to heaven i have paid the price for you"

I loved the dialogue! I could feel the rising action and the tension here. The ending punctuated it nicely. Excellent message.

this ca,e to me one evening when i was listening to the radio, i turned it off and wrote this, when i started i had no idea how it would come out i just had two lines and it came out like this. I was shaking when i was finished and nearly crying i was so caught up in the story it was like it was happening to me and that scared me so much i had to share this. God is so amazing and so forgiving.

(if you haven't picked up the storyline yet, its about a guy who dies and goes to hell and his friend also dies and goes to heaven and then he wakes up and finds its a dream and becomes a Christian)
